It takes 1 hour to travel from Bangkok by plane, 1 hour and 30 minutes by car, and 1 hour and 30 minutes by boat. Or, you have to take a high-speed boat from Phuket for 6 hours. It takes a total of about 4 hours to get there by car or high-speed boat from Langkawi Airport. I traveled by train and it took a total of 24 hours to reach this island. Koh Lipe cured me of my mental illness and I found miraculous friendship and love here. I had two visits and a 50-day stay. And then I return to Koh Lipe again next week. Koh Lipe is my second home.
I can remember , as I have seen on Koh Lipe only one farang ! He was a young french man , who was living together with the fishing people of Koh Lipe ! At this time Koh Lipe and the islands around were really the paradies !!! And today ??? I am very , very sad , what tourists have done with these nice islands !!!
So sad to See how Koh lipe,koh adang changed,20 years ago IT was paradise.Yeah,all the great places got desdroyed.It was the Last Hippie heaven of Thailand.So sad.

ผมเคยไปเมื่อ25ปีที่แล้ว ไม่มีรีสอร์ทไม่มีห้องพัก มีแต่กระท่อมไม่มีไฟฟ้าใช้ต้องปั่นไฟใช้เอง ร้านขายของกินลืมไปได้ อยากกินอะไรต้องเอาเสบียงมา ไม่ก็ทำอาหารกินเอง ทั้งเกาะมีคนอยู่ไม่ถึงสิบคนมันโดดเดี่ยวมากๆเลยพวกชาวประมงควรหยุดจับปลาในสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวนะ สถานที่ของชาติเป็นส่วนรวมไม่ใช่ส่วนตัว
