Riding Trials With Full Suspension Surprised Me!

- After the reception of my video on my Inspired Hex with front suspension I decided to listen to a few comments asking for me to try a street ride with full suspension.
To be fair I've wanted to do a street ride on my Santacruz 5010 for a while, Danny obviously rides his well and I wanted to see what the bike was capable of.
As you can see, I was really surprised! I got a few personal bests in this video and this was my first ride, I'd love to ride it some more and see what else it can do.

That's insane! Who could ever thought that a bike designed for a completely different discipline can be handled so amazing with pure trial moves!! Santa Cruz should definitely check that out!) The hights are enormous, the style is flawless... Ali, that's a great vlog!
I think it's the same bike Danny MacAskill rode in 'Wee day out'. This bike looks pretty fun and capable! (at least if you have the skills these guys have :D )
It's the rider, not the bike! He'd do that even on a Walmart bike!
raheem gahel this is true, but at the same time the right tools make it so much easier as long as you know how to use them. Ali can definitely do trials blindfolded on Walmart bikes but it would be much more cumbersome and he wouldn’t get the same performance, height, or satisfaction like he did here. Plus you run the risk of injuring yourself when you break a fork or frame landing nose down.

Your slo-mo vids remind me of when nature channels do it and you just watch in wonderment because you can appreciate the beauty of it. In this case, it's doing trials on a full suspension. I've tried it and it's quite different to say the least.

Us MTB'ers thought Danny was mental doing these tricks on a full sus bike when he has access to a trials bike. Now seeing your joy doing that, I can understand why he did it. 😂 Fun watch, keep slaying it!

I dont ride trials, but your videos are awesome. A lot of these skills pay big on the trail. Love to watch your technique and have some ideas of how to begin to learn and implement them on my rides! I think this is my Favorite video you have made yet Ali. You should definitely make more mtb trials videos. Maybe next time go for a trail ride and see what kinds of natural trials lines you can find. Mtb trials seems like a great niche, Jeff lenosky is the only other youtuber I know of that does it but he does not post enough. Keep it up👍🏼👍🏼
Phenomenal skills Ali, I competed back in the early 90's at the age of 15 years old and I was so lucky to train with the best in that time: Ot pi, Cesar Cañas, Jordi Rubio, Oscar López... some of them already were world champs. Anyway, after 30 years of being out of this world and due to the quarantine, I've started to watch videos in CZcams (mountain bike, trial...) and I found your channel, which is very inspiring , so I started to go out again with and old mountain-bike and thinking to get a new one and contact some of the old friends already retired from competition to meet again. 🙏 thanks

I quite liked the slow-motion. As I don't ride (as much as i would love to grab a cheap trials bike and give it a try), it amazes me all the different positions you have to put your body in whilst on the bike. I'm pretty sure at one point you were sitting on the back wheel!
