So I actually know the cousin of that Asian lady with the app. And what rly happened was they booked her to be on the show but then didn’t actually get her on the show until a year and a half later. So in that time the company grew a lot and she got other investments. On a side note she was already very rich. Her husband is like some rich Singaporean businessman who made some sort of accounting software.
Mark genuinely doesn't give a shit about shark tank investment money, he's the one who made them stop forcing companies to accept a minimum equity deal just to be on the show; he makes much more from his share of the production dollars.

Maybe they are not doing it correctly, becuase some monks can meditate through freezing temperatures, and some are able to slow their heartbeat on purpose
Well, the issue brought up wasn't meditation itself but meditation apps; I'm of the opinion that meditation does have potential practical uses (let's put it next to microdosing psychedelics on the experimental psychiatry scale, not proven but not straight up horseshit), but as far as apps go I think they're bs and basically have no use case beyond placebo.
