Melon and bread isn't something I've had before but will try it. In yrs gone by, late 40s and into 1950s fruit and bread was common. Stretched out the fruit further and the bread was cheaper to fill children's tummies.
The sugar bread looked lovely too. I'd probably try that with apple/ banana. 😍

I myself don't eat early in the morning, only coffee. When everyone as gone to work or school I look up something to eat. I always vary my daughter's breakfast. A mix of western style and sometimes Japanese. Lately she really enjoys oats so I prep baked oatmeal, overnight oats and porridge with some other things. I'll see if she wants to try your egg and ham sandwich :)
I understand! Once in a while I also enjoy my slow breakfast after everyone is out from the house! 🥰
I hope I don't sound rude but I don't like oatmeal. the texture and the taste. I cant get use to it 😂

I love egg salad sandwiches!! One of the many foods I want to try if I ever get to visit Japan- the egg sandos look shockingly delicious 😇😂

I do a egg sandwich but I put celery and onions in mine no meat but my husband who is now gone would put Tuna in his. Sometimes I will scrabble some eggs and just make a simple sandwich that way with mustard. Now the toast with butter and sugar. I do one like that but I put cinnamon and sugar together and sprinkle it on the buttery toast

Thanks, Linna. Most looked yummy, but what an unhealthy portion of butter that was! Sadly we cannot buy the lovely thick bread you have here in NZ.
