Ann please emphasize to our kababayans the rental cost of housing sa New Zealand, they can google it,weekly rent around $450.00 for a one bedroom unit to $650.00 and above for 2 to 3 bedroom house or apartment in big cities like Auckland and Christchurch or Wellington, and the difficulty of finding at present rental units or accommodation, it will be a big chunk out of their weekly pay unless they are working on NZ farms where the employer provides accommodation, be honest with the hard stuff as well please..para.hindi sila
masorpresa..just an advice from another Pinay living here in NZ for 38 years, naawa ako may mga umuwi na dahil nahirapan dahil sa pamumuhay dito sa ngayon, in previous years its easy to find rental accommodation and/or buy your own house..not now..please mga kababayan do your research on living costs before you uproot your family from the Philippines..am just trying to forewarn you bago kayo mapasubo..
@Ronnie MGR its good you agree, kaming mga mga matagal na dito na nakapagasawa ng mga kiwi maswerte at nakabili kami ng mga bahay 20 years or so ago, napaka cheap ang rentals at bahay nuon, naawa kami sa mga bagong dating na mga kababayan natin, tumutulong ako at ibang Pinay sa kanila..sa uupahan at minsan pati sa pera sa awa na lang namin din. Ang hirap kasi di ko naman sinisisi mga vloggers dahil gusto nila kumita sa vlogging but they leave the hard stuff sa tutuo lang, two (2) na kababayan natin sa Rotorua nag suicide 4 to 5 years ago, wala pang pandemic nuon, dahil sa lubog sa utang sa Pinas walang maipadala sa family sa Pinas, tapos work lang tagalinis, cleaner sa mga offices..to make the story short hindi madali buhay dito kung wala kang high paying job, ok ang mga nurses na nakapasa na sa registration board dito,.pero marami hirap makalusot kasi mga English nila hindi na high standard tulad ng dati..kaya yung iba bumabagsak sa English proficiency test.
Hi Ma'am Pinay Kiwi. Thank you for your comment and your suggestion. I agree on the need to educate our fellow Filipinos kung ano ang dadatnan nila dito sa New Zealand. A few weeks ago, I also asked on Instagram kung ano ba ang expectations ng mga kakabayan natin about living in New Zealand because I want to do an expectations versus reality video - I have finished filming that and I touched on what to expect about finding accommodation, among other things. I also have a list of video contents to film and edit including cost of living, pros and cons ng buhay sa NZ, etc. But one at a time, I can only do so much. Also, I don’t want this channel to have so much negativity especially at a time na kailangan ng mga kababayan natin ng konting pag-asa. This video is all about the 2021 One-Off RV, as you have seen in the title and the thumbnail.
If you have watched most of our videos here, paulit ulit ko pong sinasabi sa mga kababayan natin - hindi madali ang pagdadaanan nila, kailangan nilang paghandaan, etc., etc., etc.. I always make a note to emphasise that because like you, I am also aware of the reality and the ‘hard stuff’ about uprooting yourself from your home country on your own and starting anew abroad.
Sorry po but I take offense in what you wrote -”ang hirap kasi diko naman sinisisi mga vloggers dahil gusto nila kumita sa vlogging but they leave the hard stuff sa tutuo lang” - you’re implying that I only do this for the money. You don’t know me po. I bet you haven’t even watched at least half of my videos because if you did, you won’t say that. You don’t know how much time and effort I spend in researching, filming, and editing these videos. Whatever little amount I get from these videos is not commensurate with the effort I give. Sa totoo lang po, kung gusto ko kumita hindi na lang ako mag-va-vlog. Ang dami daming oras ang kinukuha sa akin for so little money. But I still do it anyway because I want to inform and inspire our kababayans. “Para kumita sa vlogging” is not why I do this - hindi man po siguro ako kasing-yaman ninyo but I earn enough from my day job. I love doing these videos for whoever needs them.
Yes, I agree, hindi po madali ang buhay dito sa New Zealand or kahit saan pa sa abroad (and I have emphasised this over and over again in most of our videos) PERO mas hindi madali ang buhay sa Pilipinas. That is why marami po talaga ang gustong makapag-abroad at makaalis ng Pinas. Masisisi ba natin sila kung gusto nila mangarap? Rather than scare them po, I would rather inform, educate, and guide them. For example, kung bago lang sila sa New Zealand, bakit naman po sila mag-rerent ng unit costing NZD450-650 kung puwede naman silang mag-flat muna which is mas mura and mas madaling makahanap? Talaga pong walang matitira sa weekly pay nila kung magrerenta sila agad agad ng sarili nilang unit, lalo pa kung mag-isa lang sila or mag-asawa.

@@GirlChasingSunshine I don't intend to make my videos, I know my comment may offend you, but my daughter worked at NZ Immigration Office in Hamilton, so she made me aware of the difficulties not only of our kababayans but other nationalities as well, the Filipinos who have been here before are now getting affected hindi namin matiis mga kababayan nating iba pumipila sa soup kitchen at food banks halos walang makain, marami sa amin tumutulong na din. May isang bahay na alam ko pinauupahan na ng isang Pinay sa mga kababayan natin 3 bedrooms ang nakatira 20 na mga Pinoy, iisa toilet, sooner or later pag nalaman ito ng local government pati si kabayan mapapahamak. Ok na sumama ang loob mo sa comments ko pero importante sabihin mo pareho side by side ang positive at negative at the same time, at least ngayon aware ka na..marami sa mga kababayan natin..kailangan parallel magisip buti na lang ang NZ ay hindi tulad ng Middle East na marami inaapi at napapahamak..lately the other week may isang Pinay may anak asawa ay Kiwi walang ma rentahan maski flatting, nakatira na lang for the past year sa lumang caravan, kakaawa nakikigamit na lang ng toilet sa mga parks at maliligo sa bahay ng mga nakilalang Pinoy. Maski flatting situation mahirap, karamihan ng mga rentals ngayon binenta na ng mga Landlords, siguro naman nakikita mo sa TV mga New Zealanders na walang marent na bahay tinira na lang ng gobyerno sa mga motel units, sa Auckland madami natutulog sa kalsada..at hindi rin madali maki flatting lalo na kung single at babae, may possibility mga flatmates mo kung mura ang flat marami kayo sa isang bedroom and here's hoping ang ka flatmate mo ay hindi drug addict or gang member..

I see you've edited po your comment to include information on flatting. If I may respond po - babae, single, at bagong salta po ako nung una akong dumating sa NZ. Walang kakilala nung una akong nag-flatting sa Auckland. So I know that feeling. Hindi ko po kilala yung Pinoy family na una kong tinuluyan but I did my research, pinuntahan ko yung bahay and talked to them when I arrived here. Again, for me po it's important that we educate our kababayans. Instead na takutin po sila, lay the situation, point them to the right resources and give them proper advice - saan sila makakahanap ng matinong flatting? Magkano? Saang areas ang okay, etc... I just had a quick look on Pinoy groups and on Trademe, marami pong mga available na matitinong flatting. Yes, of course, the situation is not perfect. Meron po talagang hindi okay na accommodation and situation but don't just scare them, explain the situation and equip them with the knowledge to overcome it.
@@GirlChasingSunshine My sincere apologies if you got offended but at least we managed to agree life in NZ and even in Australia is no bed of roses, may kabayan tayo sa South Island na pilitan mangloko sa Social Welfare department dito dahil sa financial need, na report siya sa Police but at least may mga kababayan at mga Kiwi tinulungan siya para hindi ma deport..nabalitaan mo siguro iyon..

Ask ko lang po if may applications na po kaya na na-declined? May problem po kasi 'yung sa amin at sabi raw po nung adviser ni daddy, 40% to 60% lang daw po yata ang chance na ma-approved 'yung visa namin. Nakaka-sad pero ganon po siguro talaga but I still keep on praying po. Nakaka-anxious po talaga ang waiting game hahaha. Anyway, super happy pa rin ako sa mga nakikita ko na na-approved, I know na deserve nila 'yon. Sana sa susunod kami naman ng family ko.

and it will still be processed. Pero kung hindi pa po approved ang visa ninyo habang nasa labas kayo ng bansa, check niyo po kung saang Step kayo puwedeng makapasok once magstart na ang border reopening. Kelan niyo po ba balak umuwi at bumalik?

I'm torn between these ideas if I should go to visit NZ first or just directly migrate. Would there be opportunities for teachers in NZ? I'd so much appreciate a shed of thought from you.
