I love the fact that Hailey is so exited to run the cars and just wants to get better and better with each lap! Chase is a great crew chief for her. They make a good couple! I watch each video that comes out when it comes out! Hailey reminds me of my daughters when they were that enthused about playing basketball.

I agree the serious side of this has been terrific. I mean the clowning around is part of what you share with us. It lets us know you are a regular person. This technical side shows us the work that needs to be put in. I think the dirt will really help on NASCAR as well. Hey ... try a 410 with the Outlaws. That shit is just crazy

Hailie, I had my doubts about you bc I didn't know anything about your racing but, after watching you in SRX racing and these vlogs you are a awesome racer. Your not just a wheel holder but you get after it and put effort into learning. I sincerely hope you can turn the wick up in the truck series. Don't go Danica crazy but mix it up with the front runners. Get you some girl!!
I'm in the same boat. I knew about her due to hearing about her wins in K&N Series West but never saw her race. Then I watched the Knoxville SRX race on TV and went to the Slinger SRX race in person and I was very impressed by her driving skills. Saw her vlog on the Slinger race due to the tangle and feud with Paul Tracy and been watching ever since. She seems to know racing and has a knack for being a bullet on the track.

I have a set up question: The car’s rev were surging on the straights without wings. To my eyes and ears looked like the car was porpoise-ing and sounds like the car is losing traction due to the rear shocks not having enough compression in them to control the rear springs. However I’m a road race mechanic/engineer/amateur driver with no dirt experience. So, school me on what we were hearing and seeing! I’m loving the Micro Midget video series and all the off season fun.
Wouldn't it be hard to tell without knowing what spring they are running and seeing how much travel it's using with and without the wing? Wouldn't the force of the wing require more (stiffer) spring than wingless? Also, wouldn't the wings force hold the suspension down acting like a shock with slower rebound? So if they have a wing setup on the shocks it may have to much spring and to little rebound which could cause the same issue.
@@Two-StrokeLife in theory wings require stiffer spring and shock set ups, so it’s very possible the car was set up for wings and in non-wing form the shock/spring set up was off.

I grew up going to the dirt tracks around here where I live and we would watch the world of outlaws 710 sprints. Those things haul around that clay. I love dirt track racing and especially the winged and non winged sprints and now micro sprints. I'm also a big fan of modifieds and late model racing on dirt too!! I love seeing you racing on dirt Hailie your killing it out there!! And in The Nascar Truck Series also!

I think scaling the car is something that's overlooked on the smaller chassis racing series(s).... but in racing but it's pretty important.
Even wheel balance can make a difference to avoid wheel hop.
I've run and raced cars and even seen them doing a weight balance check on chassis and suspension and even putting wheel weights inside wheels the prevent wheel hump/hop!!
Of course scale speeds of Rc cars is upwards of 200 to 300 miles an hour sometimes but a balanced chassis is always gonna make for a better attitude when 'Chasing' the tune.
