Everything on Melissa's list is gold. As another Canadian, it's amazing how many friends I talk to do not know about the players card! At worst, as a low roller with a $300 a day gambling budget, we pay only for one night (usually a Friday) for a 4 or 5 mid week night stay in a mid level hotel (eg Park MGM which also comp'd us resort fees last April). Add to that free play ($50-$75) and resort credits ($100-$150) and suddenly there is budget for a couple of nice dinners and shows.

Nah, Nevada gambling is not expensive, if you learn to play table games well, and avoid those slot machines. We have ran 20.00 up to over 800.00 playing Baccarat for 45 minutes..Break your gaming and gaming budget into only 2 sessions a day. And the key **-- and what is difficult to learn - is to quit playing while you are ahead. Even leaving the casino with a dollar more then what you walked in with at that gambling session is a victory..Great job, Melissa and Enrique, on this vlog!

You can play but I’d avoid the high dollar resorts. The rules are BS and the slots are complete rip off. Set a limit, stop being bougie and try the lower limit tables and old school slots at the cheaper hotels or just leave them alone completely.
Fresh new casinos are not in the business of paying for your vacations. They will suck you dry and it’ll be your own decision making.

It pays to play within the players club where you are staying. While we enjoy nice meals, we limit the fancier dinners to maybe one per trip. We can eat at restaurants here that are just as nice for 1/2 to 1/3 of Vegas restaurants. You can have great meals there without breaking the bank. Vegas has so many free things to see and do.

They are pretty on the outside but ugly and empty on the inside, treat you like crap and like your aren't good enough because you aren't a high roller, and take your money and expect a lot while giving almost nothing in return. Yet you go back because you get a dirty little thrill here and there and have memories of fun times with them that are now long in the past.

All of the tips are excellent! I will say, if LV continues to climb up the prices, people will stop going. They are already seeing this in Nashville. A lot of people don't have expendable money anymore and vacations will be the first thing they stop doing. Also, the resort fee...just add the cost into the published cost of the room. That way people aren't shocked when they get the bill. Another tip we've found that saves money is the monorail and Uber. Way cheaper than the city taxi. Most of the time anyway.

I went to Las Vegas at least once a year from 2018 to 2023(except in 2020), and I definitely agree. The first time I really didn't know what I was getting into. I was starting to get tired of going through all the trouble of boarding a flight from Baltimore then seeing my travel budget fly out the window at the nightclubs on my first night in Vegas. Then MGMs handling of the cyber security event last year was what pushed me over the edge, basically. Vegas and I are done.

If they know you will be back thry cut offers which I'm sure happens to you. For others this doesn't apply as much. 3 to 6 months is the sweet spot depending on the property. If you don't come more often than that then likely bestvto stay loyal to one players club.

Pechanga is a very nice modern casino. Nice food court, and nice Asian, Italian, oyster bar and sushi, steak house, etc.
      Free parking.
Their giveaways are probably the best compared with other casinos. Smoke-free. Great security. Lots of different slots.

Vegas is good, Red Rock Summerlin is better, we would rather go to GVR. Henderson heights is a great place to live, if you have the money. Summerlin homes were just too ‘dated’ too old school and remind me of the 70’s. The house master baths in Summerlin homes just old and sad looking. Lots of food there and shopping, but too old. Also, Old Henderson is exactly the same too. But you need to check out the hilly neighborhoods of Henderson: McCullough Hills, Seven Hills, and Anthem Hills. These homes are much newer, built upgraded with better fixtures, nicer kitchens, and bathrooms, etc. compare it won’t take you long.

Awesome information, Melissa & Enrique!! 🎉 So sad that Vegas corporate greed has taken away so many perks for the consumer 😢. It really does pay to get the players cards and use them every time you spend money (gambling, eating, drinking, shows, shopping), and charging it to your room to get those points up. Tier matching is great too. We always bring snacks, alcohol, water, and our mini coffee machine to save money as well. Plus, like you, we only eat once or twice a day, since we stay busy. I combine breakfast and lunch with Al pastor tacos. I get a slice or two for dinner at evil pie. I try to drink at tables. (Melissa and Enrique can tell you that I get drunk just while playing. And if people would have boycotted from the beginning when they first started charging resort fees, that would’ve put a stop to it right there. But no, the suckers just kept on coming and so did more and more inventive fees. The floodgates have been opened so just expect more and more of that thanks to stupid suckers, going right along with it. And yes, they are driving out the middle-class, which is basically the new poor in this country.
But unlike say the rip off fast food industry that are having to close restaurants left and right, these corporate thieves in Vegas are being subsidized by the rich and the whales that have become even wealthier in this country at the expense of the middle-class and the poor.
