  • In todays video we explore an abandoned college in New Jersey. The beginning of the end for this abandoned college dates back to the decision to focus on its other campus rather than improve this site. The college said it would cost $47 million to rehab the campus. In 2017 classes were no longer being offered here. We couldn't believe how big the campus was!
We hope you all enjoy this exploration and please be sure to give us a like and subscribe if you haven't already! We really appreciate your support! We also appreciate patience with the advertisements as part of the CZcams Partner Program. The more we make, the farther we can go explore and show you all these amazing abandoned places!!

I went to school here back when it was called Burlington County College. I loved it here although I took most classes at the mount Laurel campus. They stopped offering many classes in my major at this campus even back then which kind of sucked because I lived close by. They had a lot going on here though like the dental clinic you showed and fashion studies was the room next to it. I remember before one of my classes my first year walking by the windows to the clinic and seeing people getting their teeth cleaned and next door I could always see people ironing fabric. I still remember registering for classes at the long counter you showed near the maze of cubicles. They eventually moved registration to the other smaller room with the red and white counter and the other area became vacant. One “fun fact” is this building is shaped like a key and you can actually see a little map of the building on the bulletin board before the dressing rooms. The key shape is supposed to symbolize the key to your future/ education. It’s kind of ironic if you think about it as the key was just tossed and all the focus was put on the on the other campus. Seeing what happened to this campus and the vandalism really makes me sad. This place had a great vibe and I had a lot of great memories here. It’s a shame and a huge waste. It really would not have been impossible to sell this place if it was not abandoned in this way. The other three buildings are newer and did not need any work but now are vandalized and in shambles as well.

I don't see how this would've cost 47 million to rehabilitate....Crazy that it's in such a quite preserved condition.

It definitely wouldn’t have cost that much. They abondonded it because BCC merged with Rowan and they spent millions on the main campus in Mount Laure NJ. This was a satellite campus that was barely used by 2017.

I grew up around ghost towns and it’s always been fascinating to me how people just up and leave or they die, and have no heirs or their heirs don’t want it. But entire behemoth sized malls and huge public buildings are just left full of equipment. I saw a video of a high school with power still on, all the computers were still plugged in and everything. The building had been remodeled within the previous few years.
    Nice sweatshirt.

Me and my friends have been in here multiple times exploring and partying and one night we were there and we were walking back to our car at like 3 am and there was a guy posted up outside looking for people that were illegally scrapping the building. He told us he had a gun and was trying to kill these people because there was so much money in stuff left behind that it was a gold mine and he wanted it all to himself.
