I take gel capsules every day. I love rats too! I had one a few years ago who died named Jinx. She didn't drink anything. Never. I tried juice and stuff. She never liked water or anything and she got tumors and died. Poor baby! Now I have a chinchilla!
when i was in second grade my classroom had chicks and one of them was named special because she wouldn't drink water. thank you for reminding me of her. she lived three days. my teacher forced her to drink water as much as possible but it wasn't enough and she died RIP

My throat gets really dry too- you should turn off your radiator while you're sleeping and open the window. Also, opening the window makes your room cold which makes it easier for you to fall asleep :)
