the atmosphere you guys were able to create in these early Road songs are some of the best ever recorded, some of these early songs to my mind sound like something a band in a alternate fantasy and magical dimension from the future were people are in tune with the ancient lore and everyone lives in crystal buildings(true road fans would catch my reference) and the music that is recorded in that dimension has the living current of antiquity flowing through it like it is part of the history of the world rather than just music that is made for no real purpose like how 98% of music nowadays is made for no real purpose other than to make money. this kind of music actually engages your mind and makes you listen to it like how a child is listening to an elder tell a story.

my all time favorite band. Every album seems a bit different yet still manilla. But what I like the most is the solos and that 70s style element embedded within each album. Love the drumming *(especially in later albums) and the bass. All complimentary to each other.
after 24 years of listening to Metal i finally discovered Manilla Road in 2017 and they turned into my fav. band immediately! there is no better Metal than Manilla Road! R.I.P. Shark. i was lucky enough to see them live 2 months prior to Mark's death! one of the greatest and The Loudest show out of hundreds of metal-shows over a span of 25 years!

As I listened to Manilla Road a lot I read on CZcams They were having a Concert in My City in one Hour. Too bad I was too agoraphobic to join. I am scared of Heathens and Confrontation...
Going by the lyrics, it must've been inspired by Jack Kirby's _New Gods_ series (from his _4th World_ multiseries). There are lots of mentions to Darkseid and his avatars, and the narrator seems to be an Orionesque character so pretty confident I'm right in my assumption.
This epic weirdness of Malilla Road is one of their best feats.

You can hear the passion for the music these guys had and Mark unlike most older Metal musicians still has that passion of his youth.
