Yelling in anger, putting him down personally, using physical force with your own hands… i think those things would be considered overreacting. You didn’t have to do any of that because you’ve done such a good job instilling firm guidance and unconditional love. 💜

Praise God there are men breaking generational curses and his punishment was appropriate and not trauma causing as it would have been in my day. 😂 my neighbors called the police on my son's dad years ago. I don't remember if I had my son at the time, but his older kids were being hyper & so he made them go outside & do laps around the pool. He always has an aggressive voice, so, to folks who don't know him, it sounds like abuse. White cop showed up & checked the boys out, then agreed with the boot camp style discipline & told us it's always a "tree-huggin hippie" that'll call the police on you.
Nope! Your parented. My rule was bed is bed! No stalling. I use to remind the kids in half hour it's bed. In 15 min it's bed. They would run to their rooms before the time was up. OR the next day they went to bed earlier. All of this wouldn't have happened and been recorded if, they just would've went to bed in the first place. This too shall pass
