Because he does. Despite this rivalry bullshit he really loves Vergil. I always loved the fact that whenever they meet they're basically always fighting with each other yet for them it's literally showing love and affection because that's all they remember 😭

0:09 That "Tricked ya" makes so much sense when Dante teleports away from the enemy rather than towards the enemy. I wish they included that move into the player's move-set instead of locking it to boss Dante.
You can kinda do it, you can absolutely do it as Vergil because he has up trick, but you can also air trick with Dante which puts you in essentially the same position just closer to the ground.
