Crafty’s rage is so understandable but so funny
As a software engineer when a teck stack updates and then your previous libraries stop working and weeks of work is wasted, I can feel what Crafty was going through in a spiritual level.

@@buggartThen you find a simple solution that was deprecated a decade ago that has just the basic features needed instead of a monstrously bloated do-it-all solution accommodating every single special case from a breakout clone to a physics warping fps.
In the end you end up mistrusting the whole engine and asking if the time "saved" by out of the box solutions is worth it.
The biggest problem for mod makers: Game updates
game updates brick mods, its annoying as someone who installs too many mods not knowing which is breaking everything, but now i know the reverse side of the mod creators not knowing what is breaking it either lmao
The good thing its some old mods still works and sometimes don't update the mods to work because if you update mods can create error

10:30 As someone who has worked in engines such as Unity for years (primarily Unreal Engine), I can totally relate to the pain of dealing with import settings. Every time something completely breaks I swear it can easily be fixed by just turning on a setting, and you never figure it out until actual hours down the line.
and it's never the setting you expect it to be, nor is it ever the same settings or even in the same menus

I feel like a 'moon walk' emote could lead to good set-ups for jokes. If there isn't one already in the countless emotes being made.
Ross, something to think about, why not have buttons above and/or below the wheel that switches to a new wheel of emotes, so that way you can have even more together, without having to readjust the size of the wheel itself. But in the main menu could be a "Customize Emote Wheel(s)" where you can customize what emote is selectable in the wheel or what is on which wheel.
I'd even go so far as to have left click and right click toggle the active wheel, when the emote wheel button is held down

LethalEmotesAPI did pretty much just that. I have 4 wheels going on using that mod and there is easily 50 emotes. Its pretty much doing what ross is doing but came out sooner and has slightly lower quality emotes that are still really good

im concerned the work on this will take so long cause so many emotes want to be added that the fad will die before they release the mod.

Loop is for when you are doing an animation that begins at starting position, and ends back at starting position then restarts it.
That is why it’s trying to sync back up.
I am personally concerned about the amount of emotes that use sound, especially the dances. I think soundless versions (maybe a checkbox if possible (im not a coder i dont know the difficulties of this)) would help goofy situations happen without the background noise, like multiple people doing different dances to the boombox.
Theres also the issue of making dogs hear the sounds, so if a lot of them have sound i cannot casually dance in the ship while i watch my friends get eaten from laughing
It's looking great! I think this mod is going to be a nessesity for players to have!
Thing is, someone already imported a lot of emotes with sound under the mod BadAss Company, and they do have options to remove music.
He already stated under the last video, I believe, that there will be a toggle to the sound. I would hope that it is host only to enable/disable sound so no one can fuck with that mid mission to annoy everyone.

I am a programmer, I don’t use unity, but I don’t think this would be particularly difficult. The hardest part is probably just getting the check box in the menu honestly.

I'm unsure if you're able to do something with an item as well, but the Zelda Item Get pose would be a cute addition

An eating emote could be fun to add. Maybe rig it to make it look like you’re eating whatever you’re holding if you are holding anything. Of course I’m assuming there isn’t already something like this, I must’ve missed it if there is.

Crafty's import issue while trying to implement the emotes reminds me of this one time I was coding for a lab project but my code just wasn't working and I couldn't figure out why for hours until I finally realized one of my functions that was supposed to be sending back a vector list was declared as a void function and wasn't returning anything
I love these videos. As a game dev/ modder myself, these videos are so helpful and entertaining. Can't wait for the final thing to come out!

You guys should add emotes that are meant scare other players like a jump scare emote or emotes mimicking sounds that monsters make
Example: the employee stomping their feet to mimic the sound of a thumper charging or them holding their hands to their mouth in different ways to mimic monster sounds or they bang their hand on the wall to mimic the sound of the nutcracker shooting
Edit: also a emote of the player being prone or crawling could be good

my god i feel this. I have been practicing animation lately and sometimes its just one little checkbox that breaks a sequence and it is PAIN trying to find whats making it do that.
the club penguin emote should always be a staple in any game with emote allusions
It would be great if yall would be able to add an easy way to replace the audio for the emotes. that way people playing single player (or not streaming) can just download the copyrighted song and move it into a folder to have the emote work with the OG music.

Damn, seriously you guys are epic. I went into making mods for Lethal Company 8 weeks ago, with zero knowledge. I've since learned so much C#, Blender, rigging, splicing rigs into models they weren't made for and basic animations but I really cannot fathom the time and effort that goes into some of these emotes you're working on. I have so much respect for all of you! Keep up the amazing work!

Just a bit of information if anyone wants, the loop pose setting is a loop for the Pose itself, hence the name Loop Pose, the Loop Time one which is seen enabled above Loop Pose is the actual loop animation.
Maybe the "Get Down" meme from golden eye 007, that one is an all time favorite emote!
I added this one and others to avatars in vrchat years ago, and these videos bring me back! Would looove to see it! or try at it myself, but yeah this one!
