We have a gizmo in our bag of bowling pins; it’s a 3” wooden disc with 8 holes the width of a pencil. A double string goes thru the center with 2 short dowels on the ends. What and how does this figure in?
just saw this game on the netflix show easy, neat game. do you know anything about all the variations? i see all different types of boards with different setups
Rules For Rebels I saw the one on Easy the other night and bought a 50's version on eBay. Built by Berea College Crafts. ( the version used on the show). They are still made to this day there.
The game is called 'Toptafel' and is found mainly on the Belgium / France border. Sorry to say it is not really a game of skill, for once the top is spun... well that's it! As a life-long enthusiast of games - particularly pub-orientated, it is not seen or played in England at all. In fact the only time I have seen it in a 'pub' situation was in a Hotel we were staying at in Bryson City, N. Carolina! If you wish to see proper skittles in England, just about any pub in the West Country (from Bristol southwards) will have a skittle alley. You'll witness proper 'roots' league skittles with some very smart and some, well, not so smart venues. Thousands of games are played by tens of thousands of men and women every week. Do pay us a visit!
Getting a nice, smooth pull so that the top spins for a long time is the main skill. My grandparents had the large Berea College version of this game, so I've been playing my entire life.
I’m looking for all the pieces I have the game but all the pieces got thrown out by accident. If anyone can make them for me I’d be glad to pay for shipping them to me here in Canada too or I also had the instructions on how to make the board but it was thrown out too.
I found this for like 2 dollars at goodwill, it came with everything but the string, this makes a lot more sense now with the string lol thank you!!
I use yo-yo string
I can't believe I spent 2 minutes to watch you knock down one pin
Watch a little longer ; )
Got curious about the origin of the candy and found this game on the Wikipedia entry, so I did a search and WOUND up here!
This is like the fourth version of this game I found.
Cool, I want one of those for myself.

Rules For Rebels I think the bigger versions are more fun to play, so I would recommend getting the largest version you can find.
Rules For Rebels also, check out my other similar video czcams.com/video/WuRQyDZAG2k/video.html
the version in this linked video made at Berea College is, IMHO, the greatest all time version of this game

Let's talk about the dog 😂 he's cute❤️
his face is like 60% ears
But can you explain how the game works? What are the rules? Who and how to win?
Beautiful dog
Thanks, Winston was the best dog ever!
