Do I need a Yamaha TGX-99/77 to use these? The reason I ask is that the App Store shows it twice, once being an in-app purchase and the other....not.
Most likely you use your standard MIDI controller to your iPad, or just play off the keyboard in AUM
@@jimshannononsounds Well, of course. I'm trying to figure out why there are apparently two versions of this app on the App Store, one that is an "in-app purchase," (in WHAT app?!) The other is a collection of sounds from the TGX-99 that we can play with any MIDI keyboard. Or are they both the same thing, a TGX-99 rompler for anyone with any MIDI keyboard? Very confusing the way the App Store has presented this.

If you have PureSynth Platinum then the IAP is essentially all of the sounds and presets from the standalone TGX-99 app but without the dedicated GUI of the standalone app. All sound and functionality is the same as far as I know.
