The umbrella and the orange floatie are really cute! I like the colors too, they’re so bright they make the toy feel like it’s from when I was a kid (there was a my little pony island playset I had, that’s specifically what this is reminding me of lol) I still wish they’d give us a compact with a mermaid that was a bit more fantasy though, all the new ones that I’m aware of have been either plain beachy like this one or like an amusement park lol. But watermelon theming is still a really cute idea for a mermaid!
I agree that this one has an older feel to it, which makes me so excited to see what they’ll come out with next! One of the two sets I’m still cautiously waiting for is Unicorn Forest. It has a mermaid in it too, but she is still a little basic lol. They need to give us some sparkles or something! I guess we could always customize them! 😁💕

Yay! I’m so glad you were able to get it! 💕There aren’t any holes in the pool, so you definitely could put water in it! =) There is a hole under the diving board that leads to under the deck area next to the pool. But I’d say as long as there isn’t any crazy splashing going on, it’d probably be fine. 💕
I’ve kept the set open sitting on the piano in my living room ever since I got it so I can glance at it when I walk by, haha. By far the cutest new Polly set, in my opinion! 💕
I just realized the title and thumbnail said “Beach Party,” when obviously this set is called “Pool Party.” 🤦♀️ I also kept talking about the beach in the video. 😂 I mean, the ocean is in the background, right? Haha. The title and thumbnail are fixed now. =)
I think this one you can actually add real water to the pool. I was reading the back of the package and it said sometimes Polly may get wet something along that 😎
The umbrella, drinks, and blender are from the backpack beach themed set, I believe. :) I definitely appreciate that they’re putting more details in these sets, but the actual quality is not great. The printing looks very pixelated and there are often little mistakes in the paint/plastic. Also, I can’t imagine small children not losing many of these tiny pieces. Still a Polly fan, though. Always hoping they’ll do better.
Sounds about right, since they repeat almost every accessory over and over. 😭 I don’t have the backpack beach set, so I didn’t know! Thanks for telling me. 😊 The quality is getting better, but for sure not up there with the vintage sets. And yeah, there’s always way too many pieces in my opinion. I’ve started keeping the pieces in a little bag with each set, mostly because trying to arrange everything to close the compact drives me insane. 😂
I wished the larger accessories weren't removable, it's such a struggle to fit every accessory into the compact and having them pop out of place when you're trying to pose a doll somewhere 😭 I hope future sets come with less loose furniture items and more dolls/animal figures instead I appreciate that they allow you to stack 5 picnic tables on top of eachother though.
I totally agree with you! There are way too many movable pieces in new sets. You end up with too many repeats and it makes it more difficult to play with. Less is more with accessories in Polly Pocket in my opinion! 💕
