difficulty spike in the game is very project moon'ish ITS FUCKING VERTICAL
Mersault is good in this fight, just debuff her every 2 turns and you can savely cut her mass attack dmg even if you somehow lose the clash
say do i use liu or base
Just use any tier 3 lvl 23 identity, even the base is still viable

One important note about Gate 3 that has the "A Sign" EGO gift. To get it YOU HAVE TO fight the enemy in it, using the N Seal EGO gift or talking them down via a Red Affinity check WILL NOT get you the EGO gift.
This boss is only hard if you've been conditioned by the rest of the chapter to use only blunt identities. Which is what happened to me. The only slash identities I had the first time around was Base Sinclair and Ryoshu, who were both unleveled, and Kumokuro Hong Lu. I levelled them up a bit but still failed to get past stage 2.
I then pulled G Corp Gregor, and Kumokuro Rodion, which was good enough reason to restart the dungeon.
Ironically, I've found one of the best units to bring is base Heathcliff, his powerups and dice numbers are really good at countering her own dice, even if it's all blunt. G Corp Gregor is just overall a hard carry with his slash dice, heal, and easily activatable Blunt EGO. And until they fix the EGO Gifts and Abilities not working, having Kumokuro Hong Lu is just also a useful addition. Cloud Cutter being a 4 Coin inflict 6 bleed is just really powerful, and ironically more useful than Cloudburst (Since Paralyze is also bugged for now)
This fight sorta mirrors the late game of ruina where you don't give too much of a shit the damage you are doing just as long as you are winning clashes.
@@wingdingfontbro I mean... the damage being done with blunt is like 0 - 11. And to get to the part where blunt actually does damage you need to do about... 400-500 damage across the phases. Thats a lot of clashes, and naturally a lot of chances to lose a clash, in which doing so tends to spiral until a sinner is lost. So while yes its possible, I just figured restarting to add more slash and pierce identities would be quicker than the grind. And it was.
But anyone who inflicts bleed is just going to heal her up, so she's impossible to kill under bleed effect. Don't see how you managed to even get past her with that, kinda sus.

@@innocenthate207 I beat her before the passive patch went through. Besides, it only triggers if she still has bleed at the end of the turn, so someone like KK Hong Lu is fine.

After fix of Kromer's passive, she has healing for half of her hp every turn and +9 power, unbeatble shit. Absolutely canser passive in a game where 90% of identities have bleeding or burning skills.
Upd: beat her with Outis/Heathcliff/G.corp Gregor/Remnant Faust/Blade Yi Sang, If you don't let her burn or bleed, you can handle it.
I fought it like 10 levels below without Sinclair, It was hard, but not as much as other pm bosses. Granted this is only chapter 3, it will only get harder from here. :D
That's the one thing I noticed about Project Moon's games: they loved to throw balancing out the window when it comes to boss fights. It's like they're only allowing precisely ONE exact method to win against them instead of several, and any trial-and-error will be punished severely.

I went against this boss full bleed team. I had to retry sooo much. Wish we could switch mid dungeon
Boss would be good if game wasn't in a buggy state. First time i beat this boss without any difficulty because her passive got bugged, I had 4 bleed identities and she got her passive only once and then it never appeared again, though she had lots of blead every turn. Then I decided to beat this boss in a "normal" way and only brought 1 idenity with bleed and made sure boss doesn't have any bleed at the end of the turn. But her passive bugged again and now she somehow gets 9 strength and heals half hp every turn in the second phase. Even when I only use skills with no bleed. I am done with this boss, I hope future bosses will be just imune to bleed without these buggy passives
I managed to clear this stage first try using your guide. Having two gaze targets for the first phase makes this stage a breeze. I didn't manage to encounter her mass attack on 2nd phase because I rushed her too fast.
What are gaze targets?

I got four signs before the fight. I think I got them at just about every opportunity.
So I think I bugged the game because I lost to Kromer but I got the cutscene and the bough and says I completed the chapter, not complaining but damn

In my run kromer just kept healing 203 and also I was using bleed and burn identities is it the reason?? I'm kinda confused on how she heals that much
For some reason, no matter what the first phase is simple with these steps but the 2nd phase she takes literally No damage
me when my only good char are blunt and bleed
any team comps for default only?
Have only one question, why does it healing to max hp every trun or maybe there is some ego that doesnt let to heal itself?
Read her passive, she heals 15% max hp if she has either bleed or burn on her at the end of the turn, it didn't work before the patch 2 days ago

I'm so confused, this boss was much easier than i expected at least not as difficult as trying to beat 4 of the inquisitors with their abno arm at once(i skipped this one since i had no chance against them lmao).
Kinda wish the game has EGO Gift that we can equip individually to our sinners.
I'm pretty sure that is kinda unbeatable at our current level XD
@@HellbentF2P Nah i beat it, you need to reduce all of their instinct asap and then start to slowly chip them away unless they don't use counter
I did it after some very painful half an hour. The trick is winning clashes and keeping their instinct buffs low. With time, you will stagger them. I can relay you to a good reddit post I personally used to beat them
i found it to be the other way around lol, for the 4 inquisitors youbjust need to focus them while countering their attacks and defeat them one by one, after the first one falls everyone else starts falling down too and most of their rolls are manageable to block
That fight butt fucked me. Even just one of them is annoying enough with their insanely high rolls, healing and resistances. Thankfully we got mirror dungeons so we can farm observation off of them. Still the fight with four of them is way too much. And they're just TETH. They gotta be at least HE with their power level.
People should use normal Ishmael, Faust and Gregor with Legerdemain in this fight.
Like, all three of them absolutely counters Kromer.
i just used my usual team of blade lineage yi sang , W corp don quixote , G corp gregor , base meursalt and mexican sinclair
won first try, you just have to counter with the correct attacks (also sinclair gains bonuses if you collect 3 signs)
Is triple O Don good in this fight ? She is the only triple O unit i have besides the free one

Fun fact i actually beat her first try with no deaths and no EGO usage she was like super easy for some reason??? i managed to clear her fight in 10 turns

I don't know exactly how but this is the most power intensive game I have ever played. Normally I'd say it's just your problem but yeesh.

easy boos only took me 4 days to beat it, never use bleed against kromer unless u want to suffer like I did :)
Every time i try to fight Kromer she magically gets 1 bleed
Check the passives of the supporting sinners, there is one that makes a teammate do 1 bleed
Actually unwinnable fight by any standards at all. Not even the recommended characters are winning and there's no point, no resources to train a new unit just to watch them lose every coin roll because most of the base units are built badly.
