    The NS-1000M is in a different league entirely. It's not even close, the JBL's can't hold a candle the Yamaha NS-1000M's. Few can.

      Кто тебе это сказал? Тебя жестко обманули… у меня были обе системы и остались jbl,ты думаешь потому что они лучше?! В ямахах нет баса,и рок кот я слушаю на японцах не играет…

    The Yamaha's are far better and measure far better as well. Much flatter in response with much less peaks and ringing compared to the L100. The NS1000 used Berylium coated drivers. JBL used paper cones... a cone tweeter even. The JBLs are just crude by comparison and sound it too.

    Also about the crossover… The L100 had 2 capacitor and very cheap pads. The Yamaha one has been made by 4 inductance, 9 capacitors and 2 heavy duty 40w ceramic pads…. Which kind of electronics are you?

    listened to the NS1000M today(During picking up Sansui sp-g300) , the Sound is so open great for Vocal, bass is ok (comparing to the Sansui which are a lot bigger size) . The NS1000M are very nice speakers

    NS1000 magnet is huge dude. It doesn't have a basket, spider or a cone like a regular speaker as it’s a done mid and that thing you seem to have mistaken for a magnet is just a dust cap and that tweeter is certainly not "average quality".

      Drivers are also made with pure vapor deposited berylium. No one except for Yamaha was doing something that high tech in 1975.

      That beryllium midrange & tweeter of the yamaha were way ahead of its time in 1974 & even today its still not out of date.

    The NS1000M are in a totally different league, even today they remain the top speakers to have.

    A prof musician friend didn't like the mids and highs of the ns1000m 's he found them coloured , he prefered the amt highs where he could even tell which brand cymbals were played...and the amp was AR classic 60 , not a sluch...papercones are not 'inferior' then metal or rare metal ...

    Mere specifications alone cannot determine is a speaker will sound better than another, still, the Yamahas have better technology ( except for the drivers). I was very surprised to see that JBL didn't put any inductors on the woofer circuit. This means the woofer will receive the whole spectrum of sound from 20 hertz to 20 000 hertz. For a lot of technical reasons, I found this quite bizzare. Thanks for the effort!

    El que hizo este video no sabe ni siquiera sabe reconocer el tamaño de la ferrita por lo tanto no vale esa comparacion. El agudo y medio del yamaha es muy superior al jbl

    I mean regarding average quality about mid and tweeter, no one also today i capable to produce light berillio domes like Yamaha did in 1974… What do you know about HiFi?

      @user-bc6ok1yh4s Před 7 měsíci

      I agree. The JBL's have the better woofer, but the yamaha beryllium mids and tweeters are not average, and absolutely trounce the very average JBL mids and tweeter drivers. A fairer comparison would be the L-112 vs the NA-1000.

      The Jbl woofer is not capable to reproduce 24hz as Yamaha do, even if the JBL units looks like better @@user-bc6ok1yh4s
