@@seanspursss good rewards doesn't stop the gamemode itself from being bad and horribly neglected by bungie for the past 4 years more people would play it for the rewards yeah but that doesn't make gambit a good or fun gamemode automatically
You know where double special is always allowed? Gambit. You know what pokey stick is pure war crimes? Edge of Concurrence. Add in Triton vice for additional explosions, The Call for ammo economy (preferably with slice so we get tangles), add in prismatic to add storms edge, ascension, winters shroud, grapple melee and stasis shuriken to get truly insane ad clear. Heavy is dealers choice, single target dps as replacement for storm's edge (eclatic principle is my pick). Use ascension for quick amplification, reaper and powerful attraction are a must. Glaive alt shot for defeating invaders or while invading. Be sure to grab ammo as often as possible. My method usually is to begin waves with the glaive as explosions to big ad clear (always end a wave with alt shot ready), switch to The Call to clean up and create a tangle for easy zooming across the map.
I hate to break it to you, but the only class ability mod that works with ascension is Utility kickstart. Reaper and attraction do nothing and it’s an absolute damn shame that I hope is changed
@@soratu4216 reaper/attraction gets used when using the regular dodge. Ascension is only needed to gain amplified buff before a match starts or mid grapple for a fling. It comes back fast enough to use it for both

The peak of Gambit builds was Solar Titan with Mk. 44 Stand Asides, Elemental Wells and Heavy Handed. Once you picked up a well, every shoulder charge fully refunded your melee. If you got a kill, it topped up your wells. If not, you had 4 of them to back-to-back slide-shotfun 1-2 punch anything which refused to die. Just so easy to be top on kills, motes AND boss damage every match, and you could run whatver you wanted in heavy for invading.
I cooked this warlock build up recently: Tesselation + Verity's brow on Prismatic, using strand super and stasis grenade, melee and rift are flexible. Aspects are Feed the Void and Bleak Watcher. Fragments are Ruin, Balance, Command, Dawn, and Purpose. Build mods around grenade regen. Strictly speaking you don't need to use the stasis grenade for this build, but it's my personal favorite choice. This build borderline guarantees that you will have your grenade or the charged Tesselation shot in virtually any situation. The turret feeds you darkness damage which means even more grenade charge right after using it. The major reason to run Prismatic over stasis is that while transcendant you can still feed your fusion rifle grenades, which means almost back to back special shots. Pair this with a Bold Endings with Headstone + Demolitionist for the last little bit of grenade charge whenever you need it. Heavy slot is dealer's choice but I run a Line in the Sand with Clown Cartridge + Resevoir Burst. Any light damage weapon should work though.
sounds like a pretty fun build honestly, ive been having fun with mothkeeper's and tessellation on strand hunter for three grenades (mothkeepers gives tessellation arc damage no matter the subclass) works in pvp and pve ive found, pve it does decent damage to majors/champions so you don't need to waste heavy, pvp ive rarely been in a fight without a grenade despite popping it very often
Just had a sick exotic idea, imagine if hunters got an exotic similar to briarbinds that worked on whirling maelstrom tangles… They’d probably balance it to make it only let you throw it one extra time after the initial throw or detonation, or have it extend like a grapple point does where it gets less and less time added per throw
The new aggressive frame scout from the episode can two tap any resilience with high ground + radiant. Solar Hunter -Aspects: On your mark and Gunpowder Gamble -Fragments: Ember of Solace, Benevolence, Mercy, Searing and Singeing -Super of choice -Incendiary or Tripmine grenade -Lightweight knives have recently gotten a buff that grants two charges :) Weapons: -No Reprieve slug shotgun with pugilist + swashbuckler x5 can 1sb any resilience (optional) -Timeworn Wayfarer with heal clip + high ground allowing you to proc ember of benevolence with a reload and go on longer kill streaks with the instant health regent after a kill. This is made especially easy because of the archetype allowing partial reloads. All of this paired with Knucklehead Radar of easy peekshoting and radar upkeep

Arc hunter, gifted conviction, edge of concurrence, arc bolt grenades/skip grenade, spark of shock, instinct, recharge,feedback, ascension and flow state. (Recoomending Blast furnace for the Indomitabilty origin trait and preferably a role that enhance ability regeneration to some capacity, however any long to mid range will suffice), shieldcrush artifact mod, galvanic armor, elemental siphon. Any relevant armor mods that assist in ability uptime. ( An alternative to the glaive is delicate tomb with spark of ions and discharge instead of recharge and feedback) The idea is to increase the uptime of exotic chest piece perk by jolting as often as possible. The super is up to the user's play style.
Hol up. Let me cook. Strand Warlock with Dawn Chorus and Skyburner's Oath. There is a bug that allows Dawn Chorus to generate 3x melee energy per scorch tick with Strandlock as you have 3 melee charges. Run this with Weavewalk and Weaver's Call. Since Scorch is a DoT, you can use it to un-perch threadlings whilst in Weavewalk, and generate melee energy. In PvP, I have used this build so many times that the other weapons don't even matter, as Skyburner's Oath can handle long range, and for short range, just hip fire and Weavewalk when necessary.
Have you ever wanted a 0.4s ttk on a scout rifle without having to get a single kill? If so, let me introduce you to Pointed Inquiry and Sanguine Alchemy. Pointed Inquiry has the special perk combo of genesis and focused fury. While getting the six headshots required for focused fury would normally be difficult, genesis lets us bypass our reload to keep the counter going. Combine that with an empowering rift and damage from Sanguine Alchemy and you'll be hitting for 116 damage across the map. Some tips: 1. Be careful about reloading, it's an instinct you'll have to control. 2. While a void subclass the the obvious choice, prismatic can get past the lack of a healing rift with the healing grenade. I'll leave the specifics to you as the main point of the build is getting those 2 taps, the rest is up to your preferred playstyle. Also, while this specific scout might be difficult to use. I know you've used Mida's a lot, so I'm betting you'll be able to use it better than me.
Say, i'm no PvP sweat but maybe you can make my titan build sing. quite simple: Prismatic, mending, Unbreakable + Knockout, Armamentarium, Forerunner, any Subm - if it ain't got a shield, pop it with the Forerunner. - if it got a shield, pull your shield, yours is bigger, and it explodes. - If it still lives after shieldsplosion, pop it with the Forerunner. if all above fails just melt enough off with your subm, then, pop it with the Forerunner. use the shield throw for the throwable melee + impact/momentum transfer and you will never die. The overshield on unbreakable is pretty damn tough and anthing that dies from the burst full heals. consequently if you hit with the shield throw you also get some overshield, just enough to save your ass and put up the barrier one.
I mentioned this in your stream a few weeks ago, but I think it got missed out among the gambit madness. Which, you know, who doesn't love a slice of Gambit, followed by "just one more"? Anyhoo, because bows got crapped on from the highest possible height Bungie could pull down their pants from, I've been making some guardians rather unhappy with this build I cooked up. Both revolve around the rapid fire Scalar Potential pulse rifle and the Mask of Bakris. The backstory is, Aztecross did a trials video with the new seasonal scout using High Ground and it made me think, what else has high ground? Turns out, Scalar Potential has it, but everybody immediately went for Headseeker, because, well, it's headseeker on a pulse. But here's the thing, with the arc boost from Bakris dodge, it makes your TTK move to a 0.73 on all res. That works for all stasis and arc rapid fires, like Horror's Least and the old Darkest Before. Wait, I'm not done....wait. Hold on. So I mentioned High Ground. High Ground kicks in when you're just a bit higher (1m) than your opponent and gives you a 15% damage boost. So if you do your Bakris dodge, plus High Ground, your TTK is now at 0.67 on ALL resiliences, before you've even killed anybody. This works well on Prismatic Hunter, mostly because you can also get the benefit of radiant, which helps the forgiveness and gives you an extra body shot for your ttk. It also shifts the TTK of T6 and below to 0.47, which is a two burst kill. Oh we still aren't done, friend of friends, take off your coat and sit thee back down. See, High Ground is VERY specific, it states that jumping doesn't activate the perk, which is fair, can't have people jumping up and down like madmen getting perks for free. It does not, however, say anything about glacier grenades making steps. Channel your inner Lolgistics Officer, chuck a glacier grenade on a wall and make a platform and boom, you have a 0.67 TTK weapon platform above the battlefield ready to go (you might have to practice Bakris dodging into the wall and not off the ice platform like a tit. That will happen the first few times). So you *can* do it on Prismatic, but who the hell wants to follow the meta? What is this, Wallah town? Bah. Using stasis subclasses, you can destroy your weapon platform and using the whisper of shards and a high discipline stat you can have your grenade back in no time. You can model the Scalar Potential how you want it, but the main thing is to have the perks enhanced. I went for Chambered Compensator for the stability, accurised rounds for 33m of range, enhanced keep away for more range and accuracy and obviously enhanced high ground. This does work best with Bakris for the free extra damage, but any stasis subclass on any class can work. Titans with Armamentarium will always have a glacier grenade up! Try it and see, the rest of the fragments don't even matter and give you the flexibility to use what you like. Hell, even the other weapon doesn't matter, dunno, use a Shotgun or something, it's not likely you'll need it.
The hunter build would absolutely be better on a prismatic subclass with an ophidians class item, I'm not gonna run it because I don't like grenade launchers, but in certain it would work better
*Arbor Warden* on strand titan gets you two orbs on a suspended kill with the reaper mod on the class item and thread of wisdom. you can use a side arm to get the kill and generate the two orbs and special ammo on the kill then swap to a wave splitter with a maxed out out timer on its perk. have utility kick start on your class item and insulation on your boots to get the barrinade back quicker. the tangle that get generated can help you fly to your next enemy with grapple and if you happen to get a kill with the grapple melee you could generate another kill with heavy handed on your gantlets.
Funny part is the Fragment choices for that first build are not even optimised for over-shield uptime, so the knees to the face can be further improved.
MortarLock: The build that's meant to make you into a flying one warlock mortar emplacement, while also allowing you to become a mortar shell yourself. Solar Warlock. A: Heat Rises, Hellion G: Swarm M: Celestial CA: Pheonyx Dive F: Ashes, Singeing, Torches, Searing E: Dawn Chorus, Skyburner's oath With heat rises active, pheonyx dive applies 60 scorch, Hellion morters apply 40 scorch (numbers with ashes included). That's enough for an ignition. Hellion morters apply scorch in a 4 meter radius, Pheonyx dive in a 5 meter radius, so it's possible to tag multiple people with both the dive and a mortar shell to cause multiple ignitions. This is how you become a mortar shell yourself. Heat rises, Dawn Chorus, and Searing will all help to regain melee energy. Keep radient up by shooting melees. You may substitute Skyburner's oath with Tommy's Matchbook, Sunshot, Prometheus Lens, or Polaris Lance if the map isn't advantagous to Skyburner. Red Death , Edge of Intent, or No Hesitation could also be used if you want to swap out Searing for Benevolence, I recommend those substitutions for 3v3.
For the bow glaive set up, I've had a very good time running Raconteur (gut shot straight and archers tempo, 576 draw time and compact arrow shaft) with judgement of kelgorath (specced for handling, swap mag, impulse amplifier, and demo) on dawn blade with ophidian aspects. Although lately, hush hasn't left my side. While radiant, with archer's tempo and archer's gambit, it's one head, one body at like .75-.8 sec ttk depending on your draw time and reload speed.
If you’ve got Collective Obligation, it can do wonders in Gambit. Play Sentinel with Suppressor grenade, Controlled Demolition and Weakening grenade fragment and you can scoop up all 3 debuffs in the PvE side easily. You can use them for ad clear, or as an Invader/Sentry to demolish people. Combine that with Doom Fang where Void kills buff Void weapons, and you’ve got a Primary heavy weapon

If you brought Lightning Surge, be ready to slide around corners for the bunch-up punish.
4:35 They really need to update some of these exotics to work with the alternate class abilities they’ve been giving to Warlock and Titan. That, or give Hunters a next-to-useless alt class ability to balance things out.

Weapons recommended are, Kinetic slot: 1-2 Punch Shotty. (Preferably new Perfect Paradox, cause of the origin trait), though I also like Navigator as an exotic choice for Tether point with the Catalyst. Energy, Primary for Champions, (though ignore Overload if running duskfield grenade for long range slows), my Exotic choice would be Riskrunner for the arc DR and Anti-Barrier. Heavy, Edge Transit for a void GL. Exotic choice Tractor Cannon if using Silence and Squall. Fragments: Facet of Dawn, Protection, Solitude, Devotion, Courage, and Blessing. Artifact Perks, Column 1: Champ perks of your choice Column 2: 1 Origin Trait Booster of your choice and Elemental Charge Column 3: Elemental Siphon and Creeping Chill or Threaded Blast depending on Kinetic Slot or Heavy slot weapon. Column 4: both Orb pick up buffs, and Galvanized Armor. Column 5: Expanding Abyss if Running Deadfall, Prismatic Transfer if running Silence and Squall, and finally Shield Crush. (Really good for team play when running Navigator to give and gain Woven Mail for yourself and an Ally when shooting Ally.) I like this build for alot of content. What if (for the class exotic Glaives) they granted increased shield energy (for the Glaive) when you grant buffs corresponding to that Glaive. For hunters it would be jolting, titans it would be granting over shields to both you and your allies, and for warlocks it would be healing yourself (except from passive healing) and your allies
Been playing a stasis Titan using Verglas Curve. The goal is to create Diamond Lances like crazy along with walls of stasis crystals to generate frost armor. I'm currently running it with Severance Enclosure, but I'm sure it would work better with another exotic, probably Icefall Mantle but I don't have it. As usual this is more of a PvE build since that's what I usually play, but again, morbid curiosity makes me want to test it in PvP
PVP Build - Unstoppable Prismatic Titan with Hallowfire Heart Super: Hammer of Sol Aspects: Unbreakable and Knockout Abilities: Thruster/Towering Barricade, Shield Throw, & Thermite Grenade Fragments: Facets of Courage, Dominance, Dawn, Protection, & Blessing Tip: Spec into High Resilience, Discipline, & Intellect/Strength. Also have weapons that can help get super faster. Point of This Build: To spam Unbreakable to weaken players and Throwing Shield to cause radiance.
Im almost positive wave splitter does suppress supers when you pick up the orb. Ive used it on a Titan build since season of the splicer so i have a decent amount of time with it. Unless I dream destiny pvp ive suppressed on more than one occasion

hey hey, i like gambit. its just... really not at its best right now. to say the least. the state of gambit is horrendous. and god i hate heavy ammo. but playing it alone with randoms, or with people i barely know isn't exactly what i'm looking for most of the time.
Gambit is fun the ease of invades makes it not fun. invading should be a risk play lose a player to give yourself a small edge you should have to think about wether or not you want to invade.

I know you've used Mida's a lot, so I'm betting you'll be able to use it better than me.
Say, i'm no PvP sweat but maybe you can make my titan build sing. quite simple:
Prismatic, mending, Unbreakable + Knockout, Armamentarium, Forerunner, any Subm
- if it ain't got a shield, pop it with the Forerunner.
- if it got a shield, pull your shield, yours is bigger, and it explodes.
- If it still lives after shieldsplosion, pop it with the Forerunner.
if all above fails just melt enough off with your subm, then, pop it with the Forerunner. use the shield throw for the throwable melee + impact/momentum transfer and you will never die. The overshield on unbreakable is pretty damn tough and anthing that dies from the burst full heals. consequently if you hit with the shield throw you also get some overshield, just enough to save your ass and put up the barrier one.
I mentioned this in your stream a few weeks ago, but I think it got missed out among the gambit madness. Which, you know, who doesn't love a slice of Gambit, followed by "just one more"?
Anyhoo, because bows got crapped on from the highest possible height Bungie could pull down their pants from, I've been making some guardians rather unhappy with this build I cooked up. Both revolve around the rapid fire Scalar Potential pulse rifle and the Mask of Bakris.
The backstory is, Aztecross did a trials video with the new seasonal scout using High Ground and it made me think, what else has high ground? Turns out, Scalar Potential has it, but everybody immediately went for Headseeker, because, well, it's headseeker on a pulse. But here's the thing, with the arc boost from Bakris dodge, it makes your TTK move to a 0.73 on all res. That works for all stasis and arc rapid fires, like Horror's Least and the old Darkest Before.
Wait, I'm not done....wait. Hold on.
So I mentioned High Ground. High Ground kicks in when you're just a bit higher (1m) than your opponent and gives you a 15% damage boost. So if you do your Bakris dodge, plus High Ground, your TTK is now at 0.67 on ALL resiliences, before you've even killed anybody.
This works well on Prismatic Hunter, mostly because you can also get the benefit of radiant, which helps the forgiveness and gives you an extra body shot for your ttk. It also shifts the TTK of T6 and below to 0.47, which is a two burst kill.
Oh we still aren't done, friend of friends, take off your coat and sit thee back down.
See, High Ground is VERY specific, it states that jumping doesn't activate the perk, which is fair, can't have people jumping up and down like madmen getting perks for free. It does not, however, say anything about glacier grenades making steps. Channel your inner Lolgistics Officer, chuck a glacier grenade on a wall and make a platform and boom, you have a 0.67 TTK weapon platform above the battlefield ready to go (you might have to practice Bakris dodging into the wall and not off the ice platform like a tit. That will happen the first few times). So you *can* do it on Prismatic, but who the hell wants to follow the meta? What is this, Wallah town? Bah. Using stasis subclasses, you can destroy your weapon platform and using the whisper of shards and a high discipline stat you can have your grenade back in no time.
You can model the Scalar Potential how you want it, but the main thing is to have the perks enhanced. I went for Chambered Compensator for the stability, accurised rounds for 33m of range, enhanced keep away for more range and accuracy and obviously enhanced high ground.
This does work best with Bakris for the free extra damage, but any stasis subclass on any class can work. Titans with Armamentarium will always have a glacier grenade up!
Try it and see, the rest of the fragments don't even matter and give you the flexibility to use what you like. Hell, even the other weapon doesn't matter, dunno, use a Shotgun or something, it's not likely you'll need it.
The hunter build would absolutely be better on a prismatic subclass with an ophidians class item, I'm not gonna run it because I don't like grenade launchers, but in certain it would work better
*Arbor Warden* on strand titan gets you two orbs on a suspended kill with the reaper mod on the class item and thread of wisdom. you can use a side arm to get the kill and generate the two orbs and special ammo on the kill then swap to a wave splitter with a maxed out out timer on its perk. have utility kick start on your class item and insulation on your boots to get the barrinade back quicker. the tangle that get generated can help you fly to your next enemy with grapple and if you happen to get a kill with the grapple melee you could generate another kill with heavy handed on your gantlets.
I thought I would mention this but they disabled orbs from speaker in pvp so you need to find another way to

Funny part is the Fragment choices for that first build are not even optimised for over-shield uptime, so the knees to the face can be further improved.
MortarLock: The build that's meant to make you into a flying one warlock mortar emplacement, while also allowing you to become a mortar shell yourself.
Solar Warlock.
A: Heat Rises, Hellion
G: Swarm
M: Celestial
CA: Pheonyx Dive
F: Ashes, Singeing, Torches, Searing
E: Dawn Chorus, Skyburner's oath
With heat rises active, pheonyx dive applies 60 scorch, Hellion morters apply 40 scorch (numbers with ashes included). That's enough for an ignition. Hellion morters apply scorch in a 4 meter radius, Pheonyx dive in a 5 meter radius, so it's possible to tag multiple people with both the dive and a mortar shell to cause multiple ignitions. This is how you become a mortar shell yourself.
Heat rises, Dawn Chorus, and Searing will all help to regain melee energy. Keep radient up by shooting melees. You may substitute Skyburner's oath with Tommy's Matchbook, Sunshot, Prometheus Lens, or Polaris Lance if the map isn't advantagous to Skyburner. Red Death , Edge of Intent, or No Hesitation could also be used if you want to swap out Searing for Benevolence, I recommend those substitutions for 3v3.

For the bow glaive set up, I've had a very good time running Raconteur (gut shot straight and archers tempo, 576 draw time and compact arrow shaft) with judgement of kelgorath (specced for handling, swap mag, impulse amplifier, and demo) on dawn blade with ophidian aspects. Although lately, hush hasn't left my side. While radiant, with archer's tempo and archer's gambit, it's one head, one body at like .75-.8 sec ttk depending on your draw time and reload speed.
The analogies! The Stasis Titan comment had me rolling! 🤣
If you’ve got Collective Obligation, it can do wonders in Gambit.
Play Sentinel with Suppressor grenade, Controlled Demolition and Weakening grenade fragment and you can scoop up all 3 debuffs in the PvE side easily. You can use them for ad clear, or as an Invader/Sentry to demolish people.
Combine that with Doom Fang where Void kills buff Void weapons, and you’ve got a Primary heavy weapon

*Exotic Armor:* Getaway Artist
*Weapons:* One long-range and one close-range weapon of your choice (I prefer to go with a pulse rifle and an SMG)
*Playstyle:* Eat your grenade for a super arc buddy, pop your dive for a solar buddy (if you brought Hellion), and then run around at mach fuck EE-blinking into people’s faces with a trigger-pinned SMG and a phoned-in sneer. If you brought Lightning Surge, be ready to slide around corners for the bunch-up punish.
4:35 They really need to update some of these exotics to work with the alternate class abilities they’ve been giving to Warlock and Titan. That, or give Hunters a next-to-useless alt class ability to balance things out.
Got a fun PvE build or Gambit.

Gambler's Dodge, Combination Blow and Grapple or Duskfield.
Aspects, Threaded Specter, and Winter's Shroud.
Weapons recommended are,
Kinetic slot: 1-2 Punch Shotty. (Preferably new Perfect Paradox, cause of the origin trait), though I also like Navigator as an exotic choice for Tether point with the Catalyst.
Energy, Primary for Champions, (though ignore Overload if running duskfield grenade for long range slows), my Exotic choice would be Riskrunner for the arc DR and Anti-Barrier.
Heavy, Edge Transit for a void GL. Exotic choice Tractor Cannon if using Silence and Squall.
Fragments: Facet of Dawn, Protection, Solitude, Devotion, Courage, and Blessing.
Artifact Perks,
Column 1: Champ perks of your choice
Column 2: 1 Origin Trait Booster of your choice and Elemental Charge
Column 3: Elemental Siphon and Creeping Chill or Threaded Blast depending on Kinetic Slot or Heavy slot weapon.
Column 4: both Orb pick up buffs, and Galvanized Armor.
Column 5: Expanding Abyss if Running Deadfall, Prismatic Transfer if running Silence and Squall, and finally Shield Crush. (Really good for team play when running Navigator to give and gain Woven Mail for yourself and an Ally when shooting Ally.)
I like this build for alot of content. So I think you might appreciate the complexity in its simplicity.

What if (for the class exotic Glaives) they granted increased shield energy (for the Glaive) when you grant buffs corresponding to that Glaive. For hunters it would be jolting, titans it would be granting over shields to both you and your allies, and for warlocks it would be healing yourself (except from passive healing) and your allies

Been playing a stasis Titan using Verglas Curve. The goal is to create Diamond Lances like crazy along with walls of stasis crystals to generate frost armor. I'm currently running it with Severance Enclosure, but I'm sure it would work better with another exotic, probably Icefall Mantle but I don't have it. As usual this is more of a PvE build since that's what I usually play, but again, morbid curiosity makes me want to test it in PvP
I reset gambit 8 times in the first week when i figured out the rep was bugged for titans and hunters. But I never got the hush with my 5x god roll.

The only scouts i really use are DMT and Timeworn Wayfarer. I LOVE that archetype. Just got the other legendaries.

Point of This Build: To spam Unbreakable to weaken players and Throwing Shield to cause radiance.
They nerfed speakers sight in PvP to not generate orbs, so that part won't work

Im almost positive wave splitter does suppress supers when you pick up the orb. Ive used it on a Titan build since season of the splicer so i have a decent amount of time with it. Unless I dream destiny pvp ive suppressed on more than one occasion

hey hey, i like gambit.
its just...
really not at its best right now. to say the least. the state of gambit is horrendous. and god i hate heavy ammo.
but playing it alone with randoms, or with people i barely know isn't exactly what i'm looking for most of the time.

Gambit is fun the ease of invades makes it not fun. invading should be a risk play lose a player to give yourself a small edge you should have to think about wether or not you want to invade.
