  • When a kid is first learning to ride a bike, their parents may put training wheels on the sides to help them learn to ride. However, these wheels should come off as soon as the child no longer needs their help. This video explains the difference between the "training wheels" version of footwork and the actual application in the Pekiti-Tirsia system.

    You can always tell the Tuhons that learned under GT much earlier in his life vs the ones that came later. A lot of that Doce Methods footwork isn’t heavily emphasized or taught at all by Tuhons that came later and other sets of footwork very much are. I am not going to name any names or say they aren’t good at what they know cause that would not be true but a lot of this stuff just is not taught or emphasized as it should be.
