I can't say how much I love the clean look of retwists including the neatness of the body of the loc, but my retwists last for only 2 days at most and the clips make my tender scalp even more sore, so I stick with interlocking and I'm happy with the results. Interlocking is easy for me and I think it's because I like doing crochet and embroidery and the interlocking process is similar. Great tips!

Hey does anyone know how you go about retwisting braid locs? Like do you have to interlock cause I don’t want to , I want to start my locs with braids and just twist it as it grows.
You can 100% retwist and not interlock. Interlocking just last much longer but retwisting is going to be much quicker and in a lot of cases give your locs a more consistent and cylindrical look
@@DavidJaysWay thank you okay . I’m trying not to be obsessed with neatness . And I don’t know much about interlocking , but it don’t look like that’s good for your hair . Like if they wanted to take their locs out one day I don’t think it would be good .

You can comb out interlocks but you have to be more careful since the locs are intertwined in a different way so you don’t rip through the hair.
