You need to visit Lanlate in Ibarapa East LGovt of Oyo state. It is one of the most beautiful natural landscape I have seen.

Took my man for a picnic there last year and it was so worth it! I even got to see the boats and took some really amazing pictures. I think you guys should have ventured a bit further. We climbed one of the rocks and had the picnic in a cave-like enclave overlooking the water. We also drove down the other end and came across a company's staff retreat which looked like fun (I think there were some huts/structures around there as well). Not too far from the retreat spot, Julius Berger (I'm assuming they constructed the dam) has a boat club which is unfortunately not open to the public but is still nice to see from the outside. I wish they'll open the dam up to the public and maybe just have an entry fee for visitors.
