*UPDATE ON THE FUEL ECONOMY* I am averaging 105mpg in regular working conditions with a mix of in town and WOT operation. If I do mainly WOT running I drop to 85mpg.

Islam is an arabic word that means the Surrender to the One and Only God, our Creator, Protector, Provider, who gives us life and all that we have, we are safe and sound by his will and grace, we are His and to Him we return, and we have to thank him in this trial life by submitting to him by our free will, or later in the Day of judgment when it's too late to save our own skin. Many Religions that we know nowadays, at their beginning were true and under Islam, initiated by one of the prophets of God, but their original teachings, history and scriptures have been corrupted over time with falsification and polytheism, or lost and replaced with false ones. That's why Islam is the only Religion accepted by God nowadays, which consists in bearing witness that there is no god besides Allah (God in Aramaic, the original language of Jesus and the Gospel), and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger, just like Jesus and Moses and others are His servants and messengers. Never a messenger of God said he was God or literally son of God, it was the people after him who changed the words of God and corrupted the Religion. God is unique and absolute, He does not need to have a family and sons or to associate anyone else with His kingdom, He can simply create whatever He wants, everything belongs to Him, and to Him everything will return. Allah said in Surah Al-Mu’minun : “God has never begotten a son, nor is there any god besides Him. Otherwise, each god would have taken away what it has created, and some of them would have gained supremacy over others. Glory be to God, far beyond what they describe. The Knower of the hidden and the manifest. He is exalted, far above what they associate. (91-92 / Translated by ITANI).
Allah means the one and only God, the God of all prophets and creatures, the creator of the universe and mankind, and the Master of the Day of judgment, where our destiny, Hell or Paradise, is decided based on our faith and deeds in this trial life, and above all, Allah's mercy.
Allah said in Surah Al-Ikhlas : In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful.
Say, “He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He begets not, nor was He begotten. And there is none comparable to Him.” (1-4 / Translated by ITANI).

Thus, [O Prophet,] if they argue with thee, say, "I have surrendered my whole being unto God, and [so have] all who follow me!" - and ask those who have been vouchsafed revelation aforetime, as well as all unlettered people, "Have you [too] surrendered yourselves unto Him?" And if they surrender themselves unto Him, they are on the right path; but if they turn away - behold, thy duty is no more than to deliver the message: for God sees all that is in [the hearts of] His creatures.
Verily, as for those who deny the truth of God's messages, and slay the prophets against all right, and slay people who enjoin equity - announce unto them a grievous chastisement.
It is they whose works shall come to nought both in this world and in the life to come; and they shall have none to succour them.

It's been working out great so far. I did get an order for 3+cases of soda (75lbs) that had me worried but the 'Cub pulled it off. Im working Lynchburg today, that'll be an hour each way through the mountains plus 6 hrs of running in bigger city traffic. We'll see how she does.....

If you fit a windshield you'll increase fuel efficiency. Your mpg will improve by 10 percent. Assuming you do 100 miles a day then at present gas prices you'd have a payback of about 40 cents a day. Windshields cost typically 30 to 90 dollars. So you'd be paid back in a few months. And it is a more pleasant riding experience.

Hello, I'm 27 years old about to get my motorcycle license. Idk what it is but you showing off this bike makes me want to buy this instead of a sport bike. Something really unique and wonderful about a reliable ol' Honda. She looks like a keeper thanks and cheers!
its a good bike for beginners due to it's ease of use but at only 125cc it has some limitations when it comes to keeping up with faster traffic once outside of city streets. A 400cc or so super moto as about the best all around bike to learn on as it can do just about anything well where sport bikes aren't great at lower speeds and on imperfect roads.

The Cub seems like a right bike for your job. I love my 2021 Super Cub. It’s currently at 1500 miles.
I like the Cub so far, the only real complaint I have is the small fuel capacity. The shifter takes a little change in mindset to use properly which seems to be the source of a lot of the grumbling I see from other YT creators. I may do a video tutorial on it.

Awesome! I'm excited to hear how the Cub does over time and maybe learn something about the business too. I've pondered doing deliveries on my little motorcycle as a side hustle. Sad to see the Monkey go, but it sounds like a wise choice for the time.
I wasn't planning on doing videos about delivering but it seems quite a few of you are interested so I'll have to see what I can do.
Congrats on the new bike and the new job. My wife is Brazilian so we go there often. Delivery bikes are everywhere in the city. They call them moto boys. It's fun to watch them zip through traffic and I always wonder if it's fun for them. Sure looks like fun. I hope you enjoy the new gig.
There is a converging point in town where all of the delivery drivers eventually end up a few times per day, traffic there gets congested because of the delivery drivers.... now I just zip past them all sitting there waiting. As the day goes on, I'll run into the other drivers elsewhere and they've been coming up to me to tell me how awesome they think the little bike is.
As bikers, we see this as a no brainer,... but this is a new thing to the locals here and they don't realize that there are millions of delivery riders around the world. This is why selecting a non intimidating bike was an important consideration. Since first impressions are important- I have to make a good one as I am serving as most people's first social interaction with a motorcyclist.

@@UncleVoodoo Non intimidating is something I never considered until you mentioned it in your video. One of those things that are obvious once you hear it, but most of us wouldn't think of. And the Cub is just cute. I've been working on getting a bike forever but my wife was always against it. But the cute little Monkey was the key. She is okay with that bike because it isn't intimidating. Maybe I finally got the courage to ride for the same reason, that Monkey bike is just so dang cute!

The Super Cub is "ok", I like it but I don't love it. it's a quality bike, it's doing it's job well and it's not junk.... but I liked the Monkey better. The Monkey had a whimsical quality to it that matched it's small displacement. The lack of power seems more annoying on the Cub where on the Monkey it seemed like part of it's personality (if that makes any sense).
That said, the Cub has been a hit everywhere. Clients like it, customers like it and I am now the envoy of the other delivery drivers (they say so). The number of people approaching me to compliment on the bike seems to be about equal to the Monkey. Ive had elderly ladies walk up to talk to me about the bike, so my strategy of getting a "friendly" bike is working.
I'll be doing a follow up video reporting on how it's working out, pretty much saying what I just said here.

Informative video. Thanks! I was thinking of selling my C125 since I bought a CT125, but I might just transform it into a delivery bike on the weekends and sell it later on. The leg guard would be ideal for keeping you warmer in the cooler months. I'm planning on quitting my job and living off the 2 months of pto I never get to use. Delivering a day or two a week could make my money last longer.
Doing it as a side gig is the best way to do it, that's what they intended the job to be. Im just kind of taking it to the extreme but Im set up to do so. The 'Cub works great for such things, the CT125 would be fine too. I just had to choose between them and would've picked the CT if I didn't need the slightly higher top speed.
That bike seems ideal for delivering! Love the keyless option. Now just start delivering down here in Buchanan! We can’t get any food deliveries here haha.

I also do doordash, Ubereats and grub hub on my 2017 honda grom, I used to do it in a car but I switch to a bike to save on gas, maintenance and make parking easy here in Los Angeles.
I'm at 38k miles and counting, but I'm thinking on getting a monkey because I sat on one and it feels more comfortable.
I thought about the cub but I like the feeling of the clutch, anyways any honda mini is the perfect machine for this type of job.
I had a Monkey before the Super Cub and it did have a more comfortable seat and it got a little better gas mileage (plus I think the Monkey looks better than the Cub). I just hit 1500mi and it’s performing fine so far. The lack of clutch hasn’t been a problem but the 4up shift pattern is kind of annoying.
I did carry 75lbs worth of drinks yesterday, the rack setup handled it without a hitch.
I love being able to park in little nooks where cars can’t and being able to turn around on a dime more handy than people realize. Delivering in my car is just annoying now.

I think I’ll stop rideshare and get a Super Cub for delivering like you. My current motorcycle is too big to be really convenient but I might try anyway. Then get a Super Cub in a few months.
I actually had to move the Super Cub to a backup role.... turns out that since I drive a Prius - after tax credits on the car it's actually more economical in the long run. The bike is less expensive on out of pocket costs, but the car catches up and passes it at tax time. A less economical car wouldn't beat the bike though.
Definately built as a delivery bike, supposedly Youichi Honda wanted no clutch lever as he said all the noodle delivery shops in Japan would buy a cub as they could hold the trays in their left hand. Found your channel through Eric of Kraken's garage.

I'll be doing updates on the bike and my delivery setup, as far as pricing goes... I have to use different strategies for the different cities I run in, so its pretty dependent upon the area you're in.
I base my strategy on how many runs can I do in an hr and how much I feel my time is worth per hr. I can easily average 3 runs per hr.
For the smaller cities I take any run in the city over $4.25 (that means Im getting at least a $2 tip for a short run). If I have to go out of the city limits I bump my price up to $7 ($5 tip minimum). So I make a minimum of $12/hr but I tend to average $18-$25/hr.
In the big cities I charge a minimum of $5 for short runs an $10 to exit the city (and I don't accept any shopping orders in large cities). Here my minimum pay is $15/hr but tend to average $20-$30+ per hr.

The part about the step through hits home with me as well, only 49 but have the mechanical body age of about 80 lol So that alone would make that a big advantage over the Monkey even though I'm sure the monkey could handle everything else just as well. Good luck with this and whats not to like, as you say, you get paid to ride the bike all over.

Almost pulled the trigger on a Trail 125.. .. I think I'm going for the Supercub after all. I think it will suit me better for deliveries.
they've each got their strong points... the SC is faster and looks nicer but the Trail has easier access to the engine for maintenance and a rack standard.

For tires I suggest the Shinko 241. Good traction on and off road, even wet. Also reasonably priced and many sizes / widths, rated for front or rear and DOT legal. I run one on the front of my TW.
Do they make a tubeless version? I kind of need a pluggable high mileage tire with a slightly knobby design.

You gave the Monkey an excellent run and show cased its abilities well. Nothing written in stone we all are required to keep one bike for eternity. It's great you chose the Super Cub. That bike captures the true spirit of what Mr. Honda envisioned. How fast have you had it?
Its still in its break in period and I’m trying my hardest to stay below 50mph right now…. that said, I’ve had it over 65 once so far.
The only real downside I’ve encountered thus far has been it’s small fuel tank.
@@UncleVoodoo Man, you seriously chose wisely with this gas situation ⛽. Are you going to put a windscreen on it? Might pick up a little aerodynamics. I'm still running an oring on my Trail125. Max speed on a flat with no windage is a consistent 53mph (which equates to 50mph due to the 3mph speedo deviation). Cool racing stripe jacket. And I sure hope no jackass goes to bush whack you on a delivery. If they do make sure you say "I'll make you famous" before you show them this 🔫

Uncle, buy an Ice Bear 125 (Honda Dax Clone!) I’ve had mine almost 20 years in 2028 done 14000 miles last engine was WOT and abused to kill it, did 12000 miles with 4 oil changes - engine cost £180 delivered. It’s a great clone of the Honda ST70, just replaced the front end - £165 delivered from OORacing UK

And you rotated the heel/toe shifter forward. I did the same thing on my 2021 Super cub. The way it comes stock, I can't heel shift.
You've inspired me to follow in your footsteps sir. I'm considering the ADV 150 or the Super Cub, are there any reasons you choose the Cub over something like the PCX/ADV?
The ADV or PCX would prob be fine, but I had a few considerations that steered me towards the Cub instead.
1. The rack setup for the Cub sat level, the racks for scoots appear to be slanted forward and I wanted to keep the food and drinks as level as I could.
2. The maintenance on the Cub is easier. Scooters are a pain to work on, belts would only last me a month or so due to delivery miles and liquid cooling adds to maintenance cost and complexity.
3. With my phone in use at all times I needed an external power source, the Cub had a plug and play option for this, but the scooters put the port in the glove box so they require hole drilling or wiring modifications.
There are a couple of downsides to the Cub vs the scooters-
The scooters are a little bit faster. Any sniff of an uphill incline or headwind and the Cub can’t maintain its top speed.
They also have larger fuel tanks, but this may be a wash though as the Cub gets a little better fuel economy.
The under seat storage would most likely be pretty handy too as the Cub’s only storage is my delivery box.
Personally, I’m trying to target a more upscale clientele so the retro/classy look of the Cub gives it a friendly presence. It has actually worked out better than I expected and has been a smash hit with the customers.

You hook the rok straps to the top handles of the box to hold down the pizza bag? How do the rok straps not just slide out of place from the bag handles?
The straps can't move on the Packer straps due to the width of the pizza bag keeping them in place. I also run the straps through the handles of the pizza bag, that way the pizza bag can't slide forwards or backwards.

They just say “JCMA” on them, i got them from webike. i had to slide the head all the way to the end of the stalk to get them wide enough. They’re nice but I wish i got the 100mm version vs the 80mm.
So I estimated from the fuel economy alone when I put 14 to 16,000 miles on my cub, it will have paid for itself because my car gets 25 miles a gallon and I have found with mine if I am riding it as hard as I possibly canit’ll get closer to 6 miles a gallon, but it could get up to 100 more depending on how I write it and the speed limit of the roads that I’m on
I would be very curious to see how many miles you can get out of that thing with good maintenance. They are allegedly supposed to run forever, so I guess we shall see.
I hope that super scooter that Honda's going to build with the 750 DCT Africa twin engine in it comes to the US. Okay not exactly in economical delivery vehicle but my God it would it would get things there in a hurry. 🤪
I was really tempted to get the Vespa GTS300 but fuel economy and frequency of maintenance killed it for me. I did notice that Uber Eats seems to have a no motorcycle policy and limits scooters to only those 50cc or less. Strange.

Yup. I had to explain to my ex boss that I wasn't there to give up my free time to put his kids through school while getting paid peanuts. I said I was only there as a temporary cog in his machine, and that he and his machine were nothing more to me than a means for me to use to the end that I see fit, not the other way around.
I used the last few years of mandatory over time to pay off all debts so when it was time for me to walk... there was nothing holding me back.
So now I'm self employed with no bills other than the cost of living. It feels great.

I'm in the same boat. I'm a Catholic school teacher with high schoolers eating machines at home. I'm seriously thinking of selling my beloved motorcycle and buying a super cub for cash to do food deliveries in the summer and commute to work most of the rest of the year as i'm only two miles away.

Sorry for the late reply-
I leaned toward the SuperCub due to it's higher top speed. I often have to make fairly long runs on roads where surrounding traffic is doing 60mph+, the SuperCub is the better choice in that arena.
The only real advantage the Trail 125 has over the SuperCub is the rack, and that was something I could resolve for a couple of hundred bucks. Where speeding up the Trail would take considerably more money... not to mention cutting into it's fuel economy, longevity, warranty, etc.. Bringing the SuperCub's cargo capability was just easier done and more cost effective than speeding up the Trail 125.
For carrying pizza in the red bag- it's as simple as it looks... just put the pizza in the bag and strap it to the top of the delivery box. I use this method for a max of 2 pizzas and for short quick runs. Larger orders and longer runs go Inside the box itself. This requires removing the take out bag and drink carrier, which it why I use the smaller bag on top when I can, and only rearrange the box when the order size calls for it.

I believe the average Large pizza box is 18" square, so I would need a bag for that size, but like the pizza bag for just one, or two.

Most pizza places have their own delivery setup so I only get like overflow from them. I do have to be prepared for them though as I get 1 or 2 pizza deliveries per day.

Awesome bike. I have 2k miles on mine and ride it everywhere in summer time and when weather permits. I recommend mirror extenders and the yss shocks (180 bucks) on eBay. Waaay better suspension. Can I ask, why was the monkey a money waster?
I wouldn’t call the Monkey a money waster, but it was basically a toy as opposed to a business asset. There are better options for a bike to use as a delivery vehicle, such as the Super Cub.
Great vid. I just bought a 2019 Super Cub with six miles. The owner’s wife never rode it and he rides a trail.

Thanks. I need a body cam or something to make recording videos easier. It’s easy to do in car ride alongs but on a bike the audio either comes out terrible or I have to run inconvenient cables and tend to batteries. I’m kicking around the idea of getting an Insta360 Go2 to wear for POV commentary and splicing it with a fixed bike cam footage and see how that works out. Kinda costly experiment though.

The 'Hoss was my 2nd choice, I only went with the Cub because it had a nicer glove box. lol.

I started riding Honda Cubs over 60 years ago, in Japan. There, they put on a cargo rack that works. The one they pedal now in the U.S. for the Cub is only big enough to carry a sandwich.

The Trail was $100 more to buy, but after all accessories the Cub was $100 more to outfit if I accessorized them similarly. But for that $100 I got a 10mph top speed advantage over the Trail.
what happens when you turn the bike on and walk away with the key? does it turn off?
No, it’ll keep running. So if someone takes it, or you lose the key while riding it will continue to run until it is turned off. Then it can’t be restarted until the key is back in proximity.
Went they bring the one with a key and a Kickstart back to the usa i buy one.
I actually like the Smart Key better than I thought I would,.... until it fails, then ill be cursing it! I did install a battery tender lead so it can be jumped/charged in case of battery failure. A kickstarter would be nice but I can confirm that the bike can be push started if need be.
