I can't say enough - meter probe asscessories or specialized testers. Milwaukee milliamp clamp,PLC tools milliamp simulators, fluke milliamp clamp, aemc k100 or k110. I own or have tried almost all of these options and they are superior,safer ( for you and the equipment) than opening up the circuit or sourcing amperage from non optimal electrical sources. Also in this way you can test without interrupting processes.There was a guy who fried a controller the other day at work. It was a rough day for him

Was called to a machine and was told that the auto filler of the machine wasnt working seen a m12 cable was off of the prox in the tray so i reconnect the cable and it blew the plc lol if you put the npn prox. prox cable on backwards it blows the slick 5 pls card .... magic smoke
