How FaZe Earned ALGS Redemption

- FaZe Clans entrance into the Apex Legends Global Series, with the roster of Snip3down, Albralelie, and SlurpeeG was... not great. Following this Snip3 was looking for two new teammates to represent the FaZe brand to the fullest. He picks up Phonyhead from Esports Arena and Frexs from Spacestation Gaming. This new FaZe roster although doubted took the ALGS by storm early and qualified for LAN. Once they made it to LAN, although the journey was rocky... they eventually OFFICIALLY redeemed the FaZe name in Apex Legends.

Not going to lie, the first time you added interviews to the videos I wasn’t a fan. It felt like it didn’t flow as great as your previous video. But, this one is different. Your interviews flow into the narrative you have established with the video and they compliment it seamlessly. I felt the previous video the interviews dominated the video instead.

Heard that feedback from a few people in regards to that in the OXG video. Tried to keep this one shorter on interview bits and only include the really juicy pieces of behind the scenes peaks from the team.
It shows you really thought about how the addition of the player’s POV can be worked into the story and made to add needed context. It reminds me of when Zach Mazer told you “hey If you wanted info, just ask me”. Seems like you took that heart with how you looked at the videos. I also love how you take chances and love to improve your videos even if it’s not a slam dunk at first try.

I think i would really love to see faze or complexity win lan next time. We all know how good tsm/dz are but would be so cool if faze was the next in line. The craziest part to me is that they were fairly new and took top 5 imagine with alot more chemistry for fights what they could do

Phony makes a really good point about Frex that I think could be an interesting video. We all know what the IGL and fraggers do, but I think it's hard to truly understand what a great anchor like Frex or Reps does for a team. Would like to hear your thoughts on that JHawk.
Reps is kind of a unicorn too. Only pro I see use the Logitech G305 still. He also used a super slow sens (800 DPI, 0.9 sens) forever, and still has a pretty slow sens.
Feels like he embraced the anchor mentality all the way down to his gear and settings.
I'd love to see more content regarding what makes a good anchor and the mentality they operate with.
FaZe and oxygen are the 2 teams I know might do something crazy this lan and win (got my eyes on DZ too)

i feel like every team you analyze does worse on storm point vs worlds edge... what teams actually do better on storm point? perhaps you could do a series analyzing the different maps? like you did for the series analyzing different play styles.
I actually post stuff like that on Twitter! During the splits I had a weekly post where I showed each teams SP vs. WE averages. Oxygen notably was way better on SP in the split 2 playoffs
I just really hope OpTic pops off this coming LAN and we can get a similar "Redemption" video for them too. They got so unlucky last time, and I really think they deserve a victory with all the changes they've made recently.

The issue with game pause is that if its a new feature, its kinda of risky to use that feature so late, considering the risk of a crash
