I got major post-reunion Fall Out Boy vibes from this song and I think it's great. They've done well with the route they've gone down these last two albums in my opinion and it just proves that they can pull off multiple styles while also keeping the energy up if they want to, experimentation is necessary in the evolution of a band whether you as a fan like it or not and choose to accept it or not. Gatekeeping over what a band should sound like has always pissed me off and still does because I think it's ridiculous, we as fans can't control where they decide to take their style and they have a right to do whatever they want with it even if it doesn't always work.
