  • Today on Real Reviews we are unboxing and reviewing the Cuisinart CB-30P1 Cast-Iron Single Burner. When I first tried this out it did emit a bit of a smell like most new small appliances. However, after using it a few times the smell has dissipated and no longer a concern. I was definitely pleasantly surprised of the quality of this countertop single burner. It works just as good as my stove. I would say this one is a keeper and well worth the $50. I will be sure to update you if there are any issues. Feel free to comment or to ask any questions.
    Thank you for watching.

    Pro tip: For faster boiling water, never watch the pot. Also, keep in mind that this pot was filmed on camera, which adds to an even longer cooking time.

      That is some good advice. You are probably right. Lol 😆

    I have one and the water boils faster with a lid on top.
    I am happy with mine.

    I'm considering this burner.....how do you like it for cooking bacon, scrambled eggs, sauteing vegetables ? Those sorts of foods.

      This burner seems to work very well. We used it to cook just about everything for a week while we waited for a replacement part for our stove. I boiled water, heated beans, cooked eggs, pancakes, and fried up some bacon.

      @@Real_Reviews . I'm going back and forth on these burners and the induction type. However, I'm not at all keen on having to buy induction compatible cookware, despite the implied promise of offsetting its cost through energy savings My current collection is quite large and in pretty good shape and would like to be able to continue using it.

      @msr1116 That's what I figured and went with what fit my situation best. Also, imagine you take it somewhere, and no one has the induction cookware. It's much easier for standard cooking. At least for me.

      I hear you. But, the only concern is among certain customers who complained about quality issues. I have several Cuisinart kitchen appliances that have served me well for many years. A little hesitant about taking a chance now.

      @@msr1116 That's the best part about a good return policy. There are usually 5 star reviews and 1 star reviews for just about any product.

    20 minutes to boil water??? Wahhh???

    • @Real_Reviews
      @Real_Reviews  Před 10 měsíci

      Took a while, but it was more my fault since I had to move it outside for the 1st use. But generally, water takes longer than you think to boil except maybe if you are using induction. I have used this burner since, and it definitely works great.

      Cover cookware to trap in the heat already generated while it comes up to temperature. An uncovered pot always takes longer and wastes energy. This applies to most liquids but not sugary syrups or deep frying oil.---which need heat and steam to be fully vented.

      @@Real_Reviews . .a trick I picked up from my Filipino neighbors. Surprised it never occurred to me before then. I have a 1.8 L 600 watt hot pot that takes a good 12+ min. to reach boil state, covered.
