Thanks for this. I had to take the Handle off to fix the door skin so I drilled out the rivet to get the rear part of the handle mechanism off also . Nice and easy Video, I had forgot how to release the Handle.I seem to remember the Laguna 2 was a similar system to this one I think

My problem is when you lift the flap and slide it forwards to release the handle it has become detached and is now loose. But i cannot from where whiile its attached to the door. Any info is appreciated
@@andrewclarke9467 Hiya buddy. Sorry its not going to plan. It is harder than it looks hence why I did the video. I simply removed the three screws holding the door catch undid the inner door opening handle. I removed the outer door handle. Then removed it all out together as one unit. I think it's made that way to help change any of the two cables, if there was a problem. Good luck. 😊
It's so difficult to see up into the door. I'm glad you've made this short video explanation. I'll try attach it back to the handle. My internal handle also has an issue of opening. Not sure if I should just get another drivers door instead? Thanks

I got one from breakers. Managed to install it and the inside handle works perfect. Unfortunately the outside handle is still not working.. Not sure why that is my friend? Any help advise is greatly appreciated. 🙏
Hey good sir so my question is how does the part that holds the lock and handle come out? I have removed the lock and outer handle but struggling to get the main black plastic bit out that holds these components
Good video; my problem is that the screw mechanism which rotates the silver bit has the teeth worn away, so it won't rotate and thus I cannot remove the assembly. There's also a rivet at the other end of the handle which needs removing. Why can't they make this easier!
Very helpful. Still not sure about rear handles on the 5 door. There is no grommet in the door edge on the rear doors to enable removal of the end cap. Does this come off with the "pull part" of the handle instead of being separate like the front ?
Hiya Pete. I've not done a five door version yet. If it hasn't a grommet to access the handle cover it's normally rear inner door card removal. Undo the two/three bolts holding on the latch. With the latch mechanism out of the way you will see a bolt which holds on the handle cover. Is there no other videos on CZcams about the handle removal on your five door. Good luck. 😊
Managed to replace and inside works but the outside handle is not working.. The handle has alittle pull when you try to open the drivers door but still no joy. Any help guys will be greatly appreciated. Thank you 🙏
Hiya. If you mean the inner mechanism. I removed my mechanism all in one piece, which means the inner handle support, the pull lever and cable and the door latch, it all comes out as one. Far easier to disconnect cables off the car. Hope this helps. If you need more info let me know. Cheers.
