Central Market (Mercado Central) is an indoor shopping area in Guatemala City. The building offers three levels of shops and food. It's a place for people-watching, looking for souvenirs, or just exploring the shopping scene of Guatemala City.
The Market is located at the rear of the Metropolitan Cathedral. The city has many indoor markets, but none are as large and diverse as the Central Market. Vendors at Central Market sell items that range from handmade goods to mass-produced knickknacks, food, and art.
