A compilation of the Otis & Maeve kisses from Sex Education Season 3 because I can't be only one that shipped them from Season 1 onwards and lost their damn mind at these scenes.
I'm probably in the minority now due to many opinions online disapproving these two in favor of other pairings which I understand (because I'm a multi shipper) but I have waited for these two to do something about their feelings since Season 1 and even though the ending of this season was bittersweet for them, I still loved these scenes anyway (the ending still left a hole in my heart tho.)

She’s been imagining this probably ever since episode 4 or 5 of season 1. And while she did start liking Issac, her true, deep seeded feelings have always been for Otis since he helped her a lot when she was vulnerable. Now that she got the chance to kiss him, she gave into every bit of desire.

Asa Butterfield's acting is so raw and genuine. Bringing out that genuine love that we all had for someone in our past. And combining with Emma's kind of uncertainty yet the desire of finally hearing what she wanted to hear. Brilliant!

The audience literally felt that forehead touch it’s represented their long journey in a will they won’t they situation. Also the reluctance, passion and undeniable desire they both had to be close and kiss each other to Otis saying he doesn’t want to lose her every again was just absolute chefs kiss to the scene, now this is how you choreograph a memorable kiss.
THIS was perfect! Literally the love and intensity you feel from these kisses, the heavy breathing... how they have been longing to do this for 3 seasons, just everything was so perfectly done. I love how she can't stop kissing him, even though she tries to stop and he leaves it up to her. Perfect and beautiful, everything I wanted from their first kiss.

It's just gold! This season just grew up with those guys, and it's incredible the attention that they've put into those scenes.

The cinematography is brilliant.
Something I love about this scene, and also every other scene about their relationship, is that it’s never depicted in a “sexy” sort of way. All of the other relationships in this show have a strong emphasis on the sexual aspect but it never seems to be in either of their minds when thinking about each other. That show that they truly just love each other for who they are.
Their scenes are romantic and passionate whereas others are mainly sexual and lust

How do people ship Otis and Ruby, this man moved on so fast with no hesitation to tell Maeve he loves her, something that he couldn’t even consider with Ruby. I do think that in the next season they will make Otis confused like Maeve was confused this season with her feelings towards Isaac, they're teenagers so it will not be surprising. My prediction is that in season 4 it's going to be Maeve's turn to be heartbroken and suffer like Otis suffered in season 1 and after their first kiss in season 3. Like Emma said in her recent interview, Maeve is not that good when it comes to expressing and understanding her feelings, and I think that in season 4 it will be her turn to grow more and understand what she wants and feels. her trip to America will have consequences, but that's why I love Maeve so much, she's choosing herself first and she's always willing to learn and try new things. unlike Roby, Maeve character is bigger than her relationship with Otis, and Otis is like that as well.

I really hope there’s a Season 4. Their chemistry is just so pure and heartwarming to see. They balance each other out so well and it could be nice to see their relationship development more and more. Even if it’s one last season, it would be enough to solidify how close they are as soulmates.

Otis’ growth is so highlighted by that last scene with Maeve. you know he truly loves her precisely because he let her go to America with no complaints. When you love someone unconditionally, you will always want the best for them even if that means distance between the two of you. So wanting the plot for s4 to include him suddenly changing his mind about Maeve when he literally declared to his mom that she’s his person, is character assassination for Otis. The premise of the whole show falls apart. it’s SEX EDUCATION and the story will always be about the people who made the sex clinic possible and those are Otis and Maeve. I doubt they’ll be “together forever” but I believe they won’t end just because Otis decided “oh i don’t want Maeve anymore”. That’s just poor writing and pandering.
I'm so over the Ruby/Otis v's Maeve/Otis shipper war BS of the last few days so I'm just gonna rewatch this scene over and over again and ignore it all. Look at Maeve's face as he tells her what the voicemail said. JUST WATCH EMMA'S EXPRESSIONS which are perfect as usual. Look at her little smile when Otis says "how proud I am of you" Look how she smiles when he says "because it's always been you". Look how her head whips around when he tells her he loves her. Look at them kissing for the first time guys just LOOK. Look at her saying she can't do this but she keeps her eyes closed to savour that kiss before going in for another. Look at this scene and tell me again how she is not completely in love with him. Look at this kiss and tell me Otis isn't completely in love with her. look at this scene and tell me either of these two should be with anyone but each other. Most gorgeous scene and of course the music is perfect once again!. I'll never be over the chemistry with them. It;s just perfect, they are perfect and I can't wait to see what season 4 will bring for them.

To the people saying she won't return for another season, hold your marbles, those rumours are based on an interview of her saying that she "can't be 17 forever", that doesn't means she won't return for a final season, there's other interviews where she said things like wanting to see Maeve and Otis grow individually and not depending on each other to be their own characters, and seeing Maeve meet new people (not romantically, but in the sense of her trip to America), she also said that she would love to have a scene with Gillian Anderson as she seems to be the only one to never met her, so yeah let's be patient and see if they renew for a Season 4 first

Otis could’ve loved Ola than Ruby. But Ola and Otis were perfect for the first bf/gf combo. Also I don’t get how people ship him and Ruby. Otis and Maeve are soulmates, they are love each other so much it's beautiful. The two first scene are perfect, everyone wants to live moments like this. I dream to live this but, in my dimension, my Maeve is living with Isaac because Otis failed at some point, he's hating himself and can't lives anymore with the pain he feels everyday.
the only mistake issac did was "delete voice mail" apart from that he's a pretty nice guy. he's good at communicating and making people around him comfortable, like when maeve's mother came to the caravan wanting to get a passport. I think this is what Otis doesn't have.
Let's be honest. They will end up together, but they (Netflix) have to make some bumps along the way to make it more special when they will do it once & for all.

I really love the season overall, some really hilarious moments and this episode was one of the best! The poo out of the window had me cracking the whole time.. but got to say.. Up till now I’ve been a raging member of the team Otis / Maeve clan and I do absolutely fiiiiizzz for a slow build up but sometimes the build up is so slow it actually loses momentum.. that’s how I felt about these two this season! Especially when they bought in Ruby and Isaac who are lovely characters and made great relationships you couldn’t help but route for. They lost some of the spark for me :/
In saying all that I would still be super keen to see if they can bring some of that back in season 4!
not issac he is still creepy I loved ruby though she is honest and let her walls down when she was with ottis but then I remembered ottis speech from season 1 "love is not about grand gestures it's about dumb luck" it's certainly true
Thats the problem about series though, from a storytelling point of view. If Otis and Maeve finally end up together - the show will end, and they have to keep it going. Thats why the slow build is there, they want to satisfy the viewer but also keep it interesting.
This season broke my heart then fixed it just to break it again

I know many are shipping Otis and Ruby and no offence to that but please dude!! Its not for anybody else but OTIS!!! Its only and truly about Otis this time! He deserves Maeve! He deserves to be with her, he wants to, wills to be with her, he thinks she’s his person and most importantly, OTIS frickin’ LOVES MAEVE! He frickin’ earned it! So IT SHOULD BE OTIS AND MAEVE! It has always been them, it is them and it should always ALWAYS be them! And that is it! OTIS DESERVES TO BE WITH MAEVE or it would be an injustice to him.
Ever seen how Otis looks at Maeve and she looks at him?
They never look at anyone else like that! See Otis's expression when he gifts maeve a 5 years diary and Maeve calls him when he's about to leave. His heart craves Maeve like no one else. He frickin' DESERVES to be with Maeve. And tbh, so does Maeve. Maeve earned it to be with Otis too! She deserves him just as much.
Otis and Maeve are a lot like each other. They are similar by heart. They help people even if those people are terrible to them (i.e when Otis helped Adam despite him being a complete jerk to Otis and Maeve helping Ruby all though she slut shames Maeve like literally all the time (remember how Ruby was being happy and smirking when drunk Otis rebuked Maeve? It clearly shows how ungrateful Ruby is despite Maeve had helped her. Whereas, she should have been a bit, at least a tad bit nicer and if not so then be neutral to Maeve after what Maeve had done for her but of course! Ruby is RUBY!)).
They even showed that, no matter how many times otis had it (sex) with Ruby, he mentions the kiss with Maeve as the best (upon Eric’s query).
No matter how and where the storyline goes, Otis did love Maeve the most thoroughly. With everything he had, he only loved her so far!
And about Ruby again, im sorry once again but all she sees is herself! She is self centred and selfish. Lol, She didn't even notice that Otis wasn't in the bus until she saw him out in the open with Maeve. Which clearly shows she’s not bothered about him at all. Ik, the defenders will say, it’s because she was hurt but Dude! We dont stop caring for the people we love upon being hurt, do we? She doesn’t care about Otis at frickin’ all!
From trying to change his style or personality or whatever to trying to control his moves and him, Ruby never showed acceptance for the real Otis. Has she?
has Maeve ever done it? No! But Ruby did! Maeve fell for Otis just the way Otis was and had been unlike Ruby who happened to fall for him after witnessing his niceness only!
If she's all about herself (that I really didn't like about her at all, of course) then how on earth does she even deserve Otis even for a second and earn the shippers? Thus, my apologies but I really dont see the fuzz about Ruby. All she did was to fall for Otis which eventually she was meant to (and i dont think is something to go on '"OMGG'" for). Otis is extremely lovable and girls ARE to fall for him after witnessing how caring he was and her loving him seeing how he actually was, was very natural as well as obvious but by no means she's done anything extraordinary to have fallen for Otis. So far in the series, She has neither been helpful nor been nice to anyone (not to even Otis weirdly but people seemed to have neglected that and only focused on her opening up about herself to him) but her so-called untouchable trio friends! So i literally see no reason for fans going crazy for them (maybe just because they showed their romance, sex, and making out a lot more) but whoever knows how true love is supposed work and see how Otis sees Maeve and how even Maeve looks at Otis, can never ever want anyone else for both of them but them!
No hate! Ruby perhaps is nice but for OTIS!? HE SHOULD ONLY GET MAEVE. HE AND MAEVE, FRICKIN' DESERVE EACH OTHER AND IT WILL BE A HUGE DISASTER IN THE SERIES AND INJUSTICE TO BOTH OF THEM IF THEY DON'T GET TO BE WITH EACH OTHER IN THE END!

@@alechamilton1864 this season showed us that they are ready to be an item, that voicemail was really important, but so was that Isaac confessed about his deed, it played really well for their first kiss. If Emma Mackey is actually leaving the show then the fact that her character left makes sense, I so hope this won't be true
