How To Lose Your Job At WWE In Seconds đ€Šââïž

- Back in 2021, Kenice Mobley was hired by WWE to become a writer for Monday Night Raw. But her job with the company would be cut short when she revealed that she knew nothing about WWE or wresting in general. Going so far as to not even knowing the name of the Undisputed Champion at the time, Bobby Lashley
#wwe #wrestling - Komedie
Maybe she thought she was proving her point that she knew nothing about WWE
She was basically a DEI hire. That's why companies shouldn't lower standards to meet the person. DEIs will never respect their position when you put them on a pedestal.

I think you're right.
I agree because companies aren't paying you to tell their customers that you know nothing.
She went public with it. And it made corporate look bad. All about optics
Ya hire a writer who had next to no clue about the business. Thatâs one way to lose fans respect for the company đ
Im not sure because bianca belair knew nothing about wwe either but she said on UpUpDowndown
Not knowing anything about the business sounds perfect for a Vince era hire.
Yeah it was from the Vince era
At the end of the day Vince has created more stars than h ever will
â@Kfields1234 He also created trauma for multiple women, so I don't care. He's a horrible person and doesn't deserve respect. He got to where he was by stepping on other peoples' backs.
â@@LooneyTunesBackInActionWasGoodlike him or hate him. Vince mcmahon is the most brilliant figure in the history of professional wrestling.
@@Kfields1234 it's Mozart effect. "yeah, this classical composer is superior in every way, but _he's no Mozart_ though". Vince benefits from being the first man on top, that's all. His name will always, for better or worse, be in history. Triple H's product could be better (and it is), but the hype is gone and people will always think of wrestling and remember Undertaker, Steve Austin, The Rock... despite Malakai Black, Jon Moxley and MJF being better athletes, better talkers with more charisma. The latter three will not get to be iconic because it takes nostalgia to be legendary. Vince did it first, but HHH/AEW did it _right_ which is sadly irrelevant. Fans do not care about "bigger, badder, better". They care about whatever else other people know and can relate to, and with less than half the fanbase remaining, it's not gonna be Cody Rhodes or Seth Rollins. Hell, Jim Ross is probably more known than the current stars.
Her comments made it sound like her employers were incompetent. They could've wanted your different perspective but your comments insinuated that wrestling executives were clueless on who they should hire
Well they kinda were at the time if they were hiring people who don't know a thing about the product lol

â@@brianmesser6978fans know, but she created fan outrage for no reasonđ . Wwe wouldnt want somebody to remind fans of reasons to be upset and angry tweet wwe lol. Plus she sounded proudly ignorant. Versus somebody who knows nothing, but has been doing research once they got hired.
The issue for me isn't not knowing anything about wrestling when hired, or even talking openly about it. It's the fact that after she was hired she didn't do some basic research to start getting an idea of what she was getting into.
A lot of people who got into wrestling hated it like Goldberg or Angle. Being a wrestling fanboy does not determine success.
This is why you shouldnât brag about your job openly in the entertainment industry.
I think she fucked up by saying just I know nothing and instead saying that I know nothing but look forward to learning about the business

When Vince McMahon was in charge wrestling was a must watch I would cry if I wasn't able to record it idk what the hell you are talking about. Today's wrestlers are extremely boring! This is something you think but donât say out loud. Maybe you say it to friends but on a podcast for random people? No
Say it after you've worked on the show for a while and then have either left or cemented yourself as an indispensable writer.
It seems to be implied that WWE hired her, KNOWING she has no knowledge of wrestling.
Then they fire her. Makes no sense. That's the thing managers fault

If wwe didn't have a problem in the first place, it was safe to assume she thought it was ok to say it to public. Even marvel hired some writers that didn't know anything about the Main character , but they weren't fired despite saying it in public.
It just shows how poorly organized wwe was
â@drfarrin no one is indispensible in business
I feel like fan backlash definitely did play a part even if otherwise was said. I don't agree with her being let go over what seemed to be joking comments but from a business standpoint and from a fans perspective I can understand how one talking about them knowing nothing about the business they got into could be upsetting/embarrassing.
She was not joking. She really just wasn't qualified at all
Fans shouldn't be mad at her. They should be mad at the company alone. Of course, the company would be mad at her for exposing their business. đ
They shouldnât be mad at her for exposing the business. They should be mad at her for going on a talkshow when thatâs not her job. I donât know any other writers that do that
@@twitchthis6813 she isnât just a writer đ sheâs a comedian
Probably not the smartest thing to boast in public about a job you luckily got and shouldn't have gotten by the sounds of it, by then proudly saying how you shouldn't even have the job because you're not truly qualified for it or meet the standards.
"And I really should know that," she said. She literally disqualified herself in public, lol.
The second anyone gets a job, especially when barely qualified, one should learn as much as you can about the job and field or company, lol.
I remember this. This was incredibly stupid on her end, whether you think that it was fair for her to be fired or not. One should NEVER make their employer look incompetent if they want to stay employed.
I mean it does look dumb on her in because it doesn't look dumb on WWE and because you can understand it for her to say something like that it pretty much embarrassed WWE sometimes when you're in interviews you just need to shut up which she was too open about it if she doesn't know anything about wrestling then she needs to learn about it because wrestler names are not hard to pronounce there's a couple one NXT that is hard to pronounce a little bit
I mean why hire a non wrestling fan and then get mad when they donât know anything about wrestling? Thatâs WWEâs fault.
Same with that celebrity guest bs. Would bring celebrities who knew nothing of wrestling and then get mad when Lavar Ball embarrasses you on live TV
They werenât mad she didnât know anything about wrestling , it was more so the fact she outed it on a podcast . This gives people more bullet for the « wwe writers donât know shit about the product they are writing for » concern fans have voiced for years now
You really dont need to know wrestling to write well, just how to write well, also i dont think she wouldve been a main writer or anywhere near to decisions that matter narratively. Wwe knows wrestling already, they need good creators to execute their ideas properly
Tony Khan is a "wrestling fan".
It should go without saying, that you either learn about the company that hired you, or dont broadcast your ignorance to the world, and shine a negative light on tbem and yourself. Unfortunately my generation is so braindead it has to be said.

Seems in character for WWEâs hiring a few years back. Remember how they hired CM Punk in the first place not because they saw him wrestle but because they read some cool stuff about him online?
I don't understand why she's fired for that. Its not like we hadn't already been saying this about the writers.
Itâs because she confirmed it
Because it caused the fans to lose hope in the product
What are people been saying about the writers? That they donât know the wrestling industry? Or that they donât know writing?
@@SuperChristianMiiworld they aren't familiar with the product that they are writing for.
Because for years it had mostly been a theory among Hardcore Fans and the IWC that the creative team didnt have any idea of what they were doing but her saying and confirming she was hired despite not being all that familiar with the business and product just proved a lot of fans right especially when the product at the time was meh
When going on interviews, you gotta be familiar with or know about the product, make research on the company, etc. And for WWE it should have been a redflag for them when they knew she knew nothing about it.

I mean, what did she expect? You get hired onto one of the most strict business and then the first thing you do is tell everyone how you don't know anything and disrespect one of the big stars. She doomed herself.
It would be smart to know a little about the product or company you work for
If you don't know much about anything rather say "I am so excited about this, I know I'm going to gain sl much knowledge about pro wrestling and I can't wait to meet and work with the superstars and back office staff there"
"I work for WWE, my favorite show is monday night nitro"
There is an old prospector saying - When you strike gold, don't roar .. meaning keeping your mouth shut would be the best thing if good fortune happens to come your way.
The fact she got hired while essentially not knowing what she was applying for shows the absolute failure corporate culture is.
This is what people mean when they say not everything has to be on the internet. She could have kept her ignorance on wrestling quiet and just kept the banter light. Nobody asked her to say she knew next to nothing about wrestling.
To be fair, hiring people who donât watch/keep up with the product isnât necessary bad. I met Nikeâs VP of basketball marketing and he admitted to me that he doesnât even enjoy basketball or had watched it much before he got hired. But he got hired because he can give an unbiased pov since heâs not invested in the sport/product like most people are
I remember watching that episode. These writers got quit saying they know nothing about what theyâre writing about.
Thatâs a red flag for any employer who would interview her after this

Her: Dennis Rodman?

Disney Star Wars should do this
If only more media companies required their writers to actually know about the product theyâre creating, weâd be getting better entertainment across the board. Shows, movies, games, sports entertainment, there are too many writers that just donât give a shit about what theyâre working on.

I thought it was the chocolate rain guy haha!
Forget all that, I want to know what her reaction was to accounts named "Sean Ross Sapp" and "The Wrestling Observer" reporting on her firing and wondering how these people found out lol.
Sometimes the best policy is to say nothing, do you all remember why Cameron was fired? She kept going on social media and criticising the writers, she did it for a couple of weeks an she was magically gone.
Hiring people that know nothing about the business is how you get another Vince Russo/Tony Kahn eraâŠ.
Who are they supposed to hire? Marks with zero experience in actual writing?
What a nice woman. She herself letting WWE knows they're hiring a wrong person for the job.
These cj reactions never ever miss
She didn't read her contract. One of the clauses includes not talking to the public in such a way that disparages or embarrasses the company. She was fired for breach of contract. Almost all organizations have a clause like that, hospitals, fire and police departments, government jobs, banks, you name it. Plus, there are those who can fire you for " good reason, bad reason or, no reason".
It just goes to show that people will sign their lives away because they're too lazy to thoroughly read the costs of working for an organization.
A perfect example of knowing when to keep your mouth shut
They need to hire people that love wrestling we make up stories all the time
Its always weird to me when people try acting "cool" by acting like they know nothing about something when she was clearly does, because out of all wrestlers to mention you would think it would be someone more main stream than bobby lashley
đđđđđđshe talked herself out of a job
Perfect example of just appreciating ur blessings and shut up
That was clearly WWE's fault for hiring her in the first place
Vince is a moron for even hiring someone with ZERO wrestling knowledge to begin with. Dude was beyond gone.
Why do people feel the need to share everything and then are shocked when they lose opportunities
Sheâs perfect for Star Wars
Sheâs right Bobby use to be Bobby Ashley and now Bobby Lashley

I don't blame her for not knowing about wrestling, I blame wwe for hiring writers who know nothing about wrestling
If she could just keep her stupid mouth shut, she would still have a job
Letâs be honest, she didnât say anything we as fans didnât already know.

That's gotta be some kind of time record for both talking your into and out of a job.
F*cked up the bag bigtime
That was WWE's fault for not doing their due diligence before hiring someone to work for their company. The responsibility goes both ways
Sounds like they based a myrisingstar storyline off of that
WWE hiring writers without wrestling knowledge is also embarrassing. Thatâs why so many wrestlers and segments have felt like high school theater performances more than wrestling grudges and aura. IMO at least, not as much recently thankfully
Why hire her for not knowing the business when you hired her knowing she knew nothing about the business? That just shows the writing room.
Well I give credit for being honest, but it made WWE look incompetent
Nah, she may be just a good writer and thats why she got hired, good writers write good for any character/story/show as long as they work on understanding the content.
But exposing yourself like that and in public is not wise in business, just looks bad on both sides. Wwe for hiring clueless ppl and the girl discussing probably discrete work topics on social media.
That's ridiculous that she got let go for that tbh. Not every wrestling fan has to be a writer and vice versa for them to fit. I'm an attitude era die hard and this wasn't as bad as I expected it to be
When trying to act cool backfires.
So WWE brought her in knowing she didnât know the product and then fired for her expressing she knew nothing about the product publicly ? đ€
I wish other companies would follow this example... đ
