MTG North wants to thank everyone for their support! Today, as promised we will be opening a Fifth Edition MTG starter deck, and then giving it away to one lucky viewer! We also celebrate and open some Modern Horizons 2 Collector packs for ourselves as a little reward.
Thanks going out to Greg from our LGS Tabletop Giant for the support over the past few years, as well as longtime channel friends AndyMLC, ji bb, and @Ventricks. Fifth Edition Starter giveaway: Contest closes Saturday, February 26 2022 at NOON EST. To enter, leave a comment saying anything. One person will be randomly chosen to receive all cards opened from the starter deck. Winner will be contacted by comment and then email. After cards have shipped, your email and mailing address will be removed from MTG North's records. Your personal information will remain confidential and not given/sold to anyone. Shipping worldwide, however winner's address must be reachable by Canada Post.

Thanks guys it's been awesome to watch your content and channel grow. I still think very few other people are talking about old frame foils and how rare they are. Over here they have been slowly increasing in value but I expect that in 10 years they will be unaffordable in many cases. So many different art's I have never seen before in this video, thanks for the tag and keep up the great work!

I wasn't around back THEN, I started when Return to Ravnica came out, and I had no clue as to why the shock lands were great, why would i pay 2 life for the land to come in untapped? And now i see how foolish i was, lands are my favorite part of the game lol

My First MTG deck had Tundra Wolves and White Knight in it. The store owner gave me a box of cards from around 4th, 5th, 6th for free to get started. It is so interesting that we are now opening up cards like that as something special.

I was introduced to Magic in the summer of ‘97, right after Weatherlight released. This video brings back memories of opening 5th edition, Visions and Weatherlight packs. Those John Avon mountains are 👌

I started playing Magic with Fifth Edition, so this is a blast from my past.
I'm always so conflicted. The artwork is incredible, the nostalgia... I want to buy and collect these cards... at the same time, I'm like, think of how much those cards are worth now and will be in the future... don't get attached.

This was just insane, I never started playing until OG Theros, and this was such an awesome look back into magic's history. These cards looked so amazing, the art from the older cards cannot be beaten, even if it not as flashy as they are now, it just one of those things of less is more, just stunning work. Think Howl From Beyond would be my favorite, just love werewolves so much and it just so cool looking to me. Thank you for the opportunity to win this starter deck. I was starting to get concerned for you on the pulls from the MH2 packs, there were some really nice cards, but not the bangers you were wanting. Thankfully the last pack least gave you some real spice to make up (hopefully) for the rest. This was a fantastic video guys, been WAY behind on videos, and hope to do a massive binge watch soon to make up for this. Hope you both are doing well and have a wonderful day. You may want to pick up a box of MH2, they have discontinued printing in Europe (and probably here too)!
I opened my first set booster box of Kamigawa Neon Dynasty last night, some really nice pulls including a Phyrexian Tamiyoin my last pack. My List card pulls were low until the last half of the box, 7 total, nothing great. Such an amazing new set to open.
