- Few have had the career as diverse and successful in popular music as Paul Anka. He was a top selling teen sensation and songwriter in the 50's, wrote scores for film and television and hits for artists like Sinatra and Tom Jones in the 60's, returned as a hit-making singer-songwriter in the 70's, a producer in the 80's and 90's and became one of the most successful casino performers of the last 30 years. David sat down with Anka after a show in this 2008 interview in what maybe our strangest location ever - the waiting room in a Spokane Washington hospital.
This is definitely a very informative interview. I just dont know how the time since 2008 has gone by so quickly, here it is 2021. Its wonderful that Paul is still so active , creating and performing in the music business at this time. 👑🎹🎤🎶❤

I never was a fan of the Beatles. Their talent didnt compare to Paul Anka. I switched to country when the Beetles came around. I. Couldnt get Paul anymore. But i have 13 paul Anka Albums and i listen at least 2 hours a day.
Ive been watching so many interviews and so many concerts from Paul on UTUBE lately, i dont know if i have already made a comment on some of these things . Im sorry if im being repetitious , but i always think of Paul as a genious and an extremely talented man.

I enjoy Paul's music, but there's no comparison between his contribution to music and the Beatles'. Too bad you weren't able to enjoy them, but it's never too late.
Don’t even go there. Every singer is different. And people you are comparing aren’t even comparable since one is a band and the other is a solo singer. The Beatles were amazing and Paul Anka too. Stop comparing artists and focus on enjoying them
I guess the Beatles were so much better.Thats why Paul is still going strong and the Beatles are long gone.
