I don't wanna be that guy but imma be that guy. The lyrical component of her songs weren't her necessarily talking about herself, she just used a lot of 1st person perspective to portray more relatable lyrics and emotion. With that being said, the women that she's speaking about are not women that are "hoes" the album is called "heux tales". Basically she used heux to juxtaposition the modern identity of hoe which generally corresponds to female bachelor rather than a woman selling her body for money. It's basically a project that expresses the hardships of female bachelors that keep being falsely identified as a street hoe for doing the same things their male counterparts do. On a number of occasion even tho it was jokingly heard male peers express their want to stay wit a chick because "that bitch can throw down in the kitchen" or "she bought my imac" tho they're not identified as hoe or with as much disgust if seen being done by a woman. So Jazmine's songs lyrically were a really good message if u have the curriculum to comprehend or articulate such poetry. I peep the knowledge from bro in the denim jacket. It was overall funny to watch i understand most were just jokes tho.

All the songs off her new EP are told from different types of women's perspective. In the last song they aren't telling us what men want, they are telling us how the "good girl" who is currently watching hoes win feels. If anything I think it shows that this girl doesn't know what men want. Even though "why these hoes be winning?" sounds rhetorical, its not. She's genuinely asking so she can change herself to be that because she's insecure and just wants to find love or not be alone. (Obviously this is all my interpretation and i could be wrong in some aspects)
"Let it Burn" comes from After 7's "Ready or Not." She did a performance with them.

Jesus, calm down! This is music and art, stop taking things so personal and literal.

I’d be like me a man saying what women want. It’s simply wrong I can’t speak for something I could never be. And I would keep the same energy for a dude. While I can admit men can sometimes leave questions unanswered when it comes to dating and relationships, however an assumption with confirmation will only ever be an assumption. Everyone also has the right to feel how the want, but that doesn’t make those same feelings reality.
I feel you until you say an assumption with confirmation is still an assumption. If people thought like that they'd be waiting around forever for someone that's confirmed they don't want to be with them anymore. Sure, feelings arent always a reality but when feelings are confirmed it makes them real. I don't think that line was even about what men want. To me, it's about what he chose. Do I think everyone chooses what they want every single time? No! But once someone has made a very real choice, any left over feelings are no longer assumptions or perceptions, they're just facts. I don't know. It's just my opinion. I don't think the man necessarily wanted a hoe. He just picked the hoe. In that case, from the writer's perspective, it's very real to her that "hoes would be winning".

This reaction is SO SO SO good because it shows exactly why there is such a divide in humanity period, but particularly between men and women. Six beautiful black KINGS incapable of objectively listening to two women sing from a real place without talking over them and criticizing their experience. Maybe they are choosing the wrong men, but it doesn't take away from the fact that these men have continuously abused their hearts. Music is art. Its purpose is simply to give sound to emotions and real life issues. It isn't meant to always be politically correct.
