    Some tips i've picked up after binging for a week.
    Don't start with athletics, its easy to train and should be the first thing you do, find a ledge, jump, heal, jump, heal, once you have one you can drag things to train it till 5, after that you can throw things to train the rest, this nets you quick stat points, a life saving sprint, and extra carry weight.
    Take the pickaxe from adventure, not the knife, knives are a lot easier to access than picks since you can make them from bone very early while picks are a level 19 recipe, especially easy in desert area.
    Build dependent but i train endurance first, it'll make it easier to get weapon skills to 10/10 sooner by taking less dmg and dealing less to mobs we can slap eachother for 1 damage with basic weapons.
    Look for trees, some mountain zones are full of spruce, a Blue rarity tree and its everywhere; use these to train adventuring by making lots of Staffs, you can quickly to get to 20 doing this (if you want gold you can take your wood to town and craft/sell as you go)
    You should have Firewood by now; salvage it to get carpentry to 1, use more blue wood to quickly train this, keep a Bow and some arrows and get Bow trained asap, this will get you a bonus to vision range and a skill to track nearby creatures, which will make it easier to find enemies to train your other skills.
    Should get you a solid first few nights but depending on what biome you live in could be different.

    Great guide! I think it will be very helpful to new players. One thing that might be useful to include in a future guide episode is the concept of skill potential, how training works and the skill potential cap. I've seen new players get confused and think that training gives you skill levels when it really raises the potential for a specific skill. The methods to raise skill level are listed in the tooltip for each skill but some people miss that info. Another good topic might be how the crafting system works as far as getting new recipes, being able to use different types of materials for different buffs and how magic ingredients work.

    Love the playthrough help. I’m gonna save my deep dive for when they implement townsfolk. Want to make a town guard inspired by Majesty. Just a spear and the skills to build up a town and lead the troops. So hyped for this game.

      @@DrIncompetent Yeah I'm honestly waiting for a mod that lets you raise as many skills as much as you want so long as you train the skill potential. As is now though mastering three skills seems to be the limit. It's like watered down Skyrim otherwise. No reason my farmer who also knows carpentry and sewing cannot learn adventuring and magic as well.

    • @wizardsofthecode7923
      @wizardsofthecode7923 Před 4 měsíci

      @@richardtorruellas2370 There's a mod for that on Steam Workshop.

    • @PD_Swag
      @PD_Swag Před 2 měsíci

      There are actually some cool aspects regarding the max potential system. For example, your starting build matters a ton more, since the three starting strength areas will completely shape the direction your character will go in throughout their life/adventure. It also creates more of a pure RPG experience because you can’t just learn skills that don’t fit your character’s niche (and become a god character), which to me makes the game much more replayable.
      However, I definitely think having a mod for it would be the best of both worlds. I could see times where players want to scratch that long/epic playthrough itch, and that’s exactly where a max potential mod would come in handy.

      @masonorasdeg2545 Před 5 dny

      @@richardtorruellas2370 fyi if you dont already know, there are mods which raise max total potential now(you still habe to train each skills potential, but the max limit is set so high you can master every skill.
      That said, im personally not decided yet wether i like it or not, im leaning towards liking it (not sure if i like were the limit is set or not though)
      While part of me definatly likes the idea of being able to learn all if i want(particularly with the 200+ year lifespan races), after looking through all the skills, you really dont Need super high level skills in all things.
      For most skills that arent your focus, at least im my opinion you can still get most basic bonuses you might want from a skill in the first 10 levels(which all chars have the potential for from the start).
      And maybe a few cases where you might want closer to 20 levels(all but one skill maxes at lvl 50 i belive)

    I am so tired of games just having human/elf/dwarf. So any game that has more creative option is a A+ in my book. I have played the first Soulash, which is great and from what I can recall this one is very different.

    • @Dwarfurious
      @Dwarfurious Před 4 měsíci +1

      In the first one you can play as a DARK DWARF! But also hey dont lump dwarfs in the human/elf catagory. Elves are 10x more common, easily. Without even counting the fact that you often see multiple variants per setting.
