- Nothing's better than a little competition in bridge game. This is just a small taste of what you're going to see in Poly Bridge 2. See you guys all at the stream tomorrow!
Edited by: Tyler
Poly Bridge is a strategy bridge building game where you have to use physics and TRIANGLES to build the cheapest bridge that cars can make it across. Safety is not required. Solve all the puzzles to win!

Otherwise, I'm streaming the release of Poly Bridge 2 tomorrow on Twitch! Going live at 1:30 PM U.S. Central Time / 2:30 PM U.S. Eastern Time, you won't want to miss these bridges.
Woop Ploy Bridge 2!
I can still remember "its just a bridge, what could go wrong?"
Are you gonna stream on youtube or twitch?

POLY BRIDGE 2 YAAAAAAYYYYYYYY
I believe EUNICE finds joy in playtesting. What better way to call attention to glitches than having all the leaderboards in all caps.
Yeah, its like watching speedrunners break games just to see whats possible :D Very enjoyable.
Plot twist u r EUNICE jk I don’t know
I don't know chief it seems like Eunice just really wants to have his name at no 1 and is willing to go to any lengths to do so
@@jobofett5947 plot twist. Eunice actually commented on this video. So no, this guy isn't Eunice
@@DoReMeDesign your just angry lol
Man I’m happy that actual bridge builders aren’t like this
99.9% joint stress... Perfect design.
I actually have heard that most real life engineers design things to hold ten times the amount of weight that it would normally need to hold.
@@gengarisnotinsmash... there's a reason over engineering is often seen as a problem
"The bridge broke, but I re-built it with the exact same design dozens of times to get it to work."
"Also, where did our 100 thousand dollars go? What do you mean, it went into bridges that collapsed?"
@@aronseptianto8142 i'd much rather drive on a road that can support 100x my weight than one that'll be crushed if someone packs too much onto their roof next to me and kills us all
When I did my bridge I actually purposely tried to get 3rd so you wouldn’t lose your spot...
Was curious actually! What did your bridge look like?
That is... what I define a *reverse* commitment, haha
I did use a falling road at the start but I had the second car push the first up with a little bumper hit and the end bit was a lot more curved. Like a quarter of a circle
haha hello buddy
Absolute madlad
Imagine doing this in real life, the budget is $25,000 and you say “4000” then you cut the bridge in half and decide to leave a bit of road on the side, then the people who are supposed to test the bridge are like ”are you sure this is safe?” And you say “maybe” and then it actually works
"it works 1 in 6 times, every time"
"Are you sure its safe?"
"Its rock solid, its only 99.3% joint stress, I could push it by at least .6% more"
That is basically how it works, although the engineering companies are not going for 99% stress :D but they are trying to do the strongest/most aesthetic desing for the money and using everything they can in the process
If this was in real life The car would explode on landing
most people would be slightly taken aback at the point where you describe to them how - first off - they need to be hit by falling pieces of road
*"Adobe Photoshop has taken the lead..."*
Yeah, that doesnt sound suspicious at all lol
I love that he doesn't just accept other people beating his record, but also congratulates them!
Yeah, even towards a dude who cheated his first place for most levels.. which isn't cool. Tyler good guy
Do you not do this? I just think this is all chill but pretty mediocre. Most people competing get proud of other for their success
@@Jack-tu5zf a lot do, but a lot are like "oh my records stolen, lets get it back" and move on, which is normal.
They way I see it, throughout this time they kept holding a gun to each other's head. A WATER gun.
@@sollysion Eunice used glitches and errors in the game, not cheats.
I imagine an actual engineer making this bridge "Simulations show that it falls apart 9 out of 10 times but it's 90$ cheaper than the closest other option, it is the most optimized design possible!"
8:43
The solution has been revealed to us all, it was right under our noses.
Just stop using road, it's weak and expensive.
“Overall stress percentage of the design.. 97.8% this mean I still got room to work with 2 WHOLE PERCENT!”
@Aliensrock too close to home..
I was watching another youtuber play this and he got 99.9% stress percentage
Go big or go home
Alienrock: (Gets the world record)
Eunice: *I'm about to end this man's entire career*
Alienrock: no u
I swear to god I see you everywhere
Player 3: no both of u
Alienrock "ah shit here we go again"
WHY ARE YOU EVERYWHERE
I find it amusing that DangerouslyFunny's advice of just stick random pieces of road down to cause the physics to change is top tier advice
When's the record progression video, SummoningSalt?
+
Hahaha
Now that you mention it, it is slightly unfortunate that he only does speedrunning.
And then... On the 27th of May 2020... this happened *indulgent 80s aesthetic intensifies*
_HOME starts playing_
I need to sleep right now...
But first, I need to see if he gets his record back.
"I don't need sleep, I need answers"
Same
Same
he does but not by himself
ArtEmUp the real record was the friends we made along the way
Gotta appreciate EUNICE's sportsmanship on this. Instead of destroying the record through glitching the game for a cheap victory, they made a fair attempt beating the record normally (allowing this video to be a thing)
First vid: only one person has ever managed to get this lower than 5k
Second vid: getting it under 4K
Tyler: I knew exactly what changes I needed to make
Also Tyler: *dozens of clips of failures in background
eyyyy! my old ass solution from literally years ago still holds top 15. at the rate this level is being fought over, not for long though
This is more entertaining then anything on Netflix
even stranger things?
wrong
Avatar tho
@@carsonbenjamin1635 Congratulations! You corrected someone's grammar. Do you want a prize? Do you want a ceremony held in your honor? The sky's the limit!
Better than us?
PolyBridge's physics engine is completely deterministic. It's the conversion from drawing to modeling, however, that isn't deterministic and is what causes random behavior. Here's hoping that the fix for PolyBridge 2 isn't chaotically deterministic and gives wildly different results by shifting a joint a pixel or two
11:48 That Bird At The Top Right Do Be Viben Doe... 😏
HahaHhhHhHhahahahhah
Isn't joint stress metric just the *max* joint stress metric? So if only 1 joint hits 99 but the rest are at 10%, wouldn't that mean there is still a butt ton of optimizing to be done? Like I feel it just shows how close you were to breaking and not how close you were to optimal
Not really when also trying to be money efficient. You have 2 options when optimizing; either having a balanced load like you're suggesting which also tends to be costly or have lost cost build but one or two components take the brunt of the load and the other pieces are supporting. You can redesign those high stress pieces with muscles, adding rope, or other methods but you end up spending more to reduce the stress.
there's the problem where some joints are dependent on other joints being stable, so you can't put all joints at 99% because some would collapse
It's not really viable to have one part at 90% stress and another at 110%.
@@MrSeanconnory fair enough, so it is a reliable way to tell how optimized your bridge is?
@@Sauspreme it's the best way because if a single piece breaks but the bridge doesnt collapse that means you most likely dont need that piece
Imagine driving up that bridge and then suddenly sneezing
bridge just explodes
After seeing this in my inbox and looking at it long and hard I can say one thing about it:
It is a video
Jacob johnson I haven’t seen an actually video from tyler since he played BTD battles. Only edited stream clips.

Great video! Exited to see you play Poly Bridge 2!
Hey Tyler! I really love the storytelling you had in this video, it'd be cool if you could do more like this!
Man seeing 2 geniuses trying to beat each other on a game is just awesome . And I actually dk how smart this guys can be )-)
Eunice: Finally! A worthy opponent!
Our battle, will be LEGENDARY!
Congratulations, Professor Aliensrock, Ph.D. in Poly Bridge Optimization
So many ready player one vibes from this video. Great job Tyler
this video gives me a lot of great potato war vibes, which is a great movie btw 10/10 would recommend
I too also get "The Great Potato War" vibes from this video. However, the one I watched is a video by the channel called "Technoblade". I did not know there was also a movie of the same name. Could you provide me some links that contain or has information pertaining to the movie mentioned in your comment? I am curious to see what it is about.
This guy has some mad skill, and patience. I dont know about you, but i wouldve gave up at my 2nd failed bridge. Good video man!
This feels like a speedrun documentary. Still very entertaining!
Great content
Great storytelling. Well done!
I love watching the hawk going in circles
Keep us updated. And well done. Great job below 4k. You are the king
I've never watched a poly bridge video before, but I got recommended this and I love it?
I love the parrot just flying around in the top right corner
this saga is great. loving it haha
I love falling asleep to your vids so goodnight bro 💓

You, my friend... you, are one outstanding man.
“I can take a pre-existing bridge and shave the *SHIT* out of it.”
The leaderboard part was like the plot of ready player one
this is like a much more lowkey summoning salt video
at 8:43 actually wood is weaker than road, but it has 1/9 the weight, which is why it is better for building bridges usually, but technically road is stronger, its sometimes used for land braces e.g
Just wait until someone gets a $0 bridge..
t i m e t o g e t - 1 s c o r e
Not possible on this level (at least with EUNICE’s glitch)
Good job. I hope to see it be a great battle.
Former world record holder beats the world record holder by optimizing other former world record holders design
You tell stories so well, man
Tyler has gone crazy over these bridges
I like this editing style of the video
New drink game, everybody drinks when he say "Optmize"
I love how he didn’t feel good about only optimizing the first places design, when that was just what the other guy did.
That is what we call redesigning :)
we could just use the 3 roads perfectly timed to slap the cars across correctly
then when the middle car hits its stop mid flight and falls in using a perfectly accurate road hit
we use the forth road to hit it back the other direction and into the hole
"not gonna I have to have a laugh at how fucked up this is" had a good laugh at this
Nice documentary
Me: tired
Also me: I Don't need sleep, I need answers
Somebody get this man a poly bridge degree

We're watching a documentary about someone on the internet building bridges in a video game
'Eunice' - google: 'Yunis'
Someone's dirty mind: peni-
His uploads schedule questions my existence
He streams daily so it makes sense to be weird
I feel like a proud dad even though I haven't helped you at all lmao
Hey look alienrock pulling a zuko
He must redeem his honor
Can’t wait for this to blow up
Would like to see more of Talos Principle!
This is the best anime i've ever seen
PB players: This is greatly optimized!
Non PB players: I see no difference between the bridges; it must be RNG.
Now this is a pog video.
That honor is yours
Saying he cant think that the bridges cant get any better, and i was thinking about Trackmania xD
Forgot this channel existed also forgot your name was dildobike im at a family gathering with my headphones on listening and i start laughing then my whole family looks at me... thanks
Eunice will always be too good for us
Eunice reminds me of Matt Turk from Punch Out. (He was a legend who held WRs for many years while a whole community struggled to beat them)
Congrats!
Is this my science class
Absolute chad
Eunice the chad is back
Is rope stronger in holding pull force, than wood and is it cheaper?
When the protagonist and the rival team up to beat the op villain
i was literally like saying to myself just use 3 roads bro
Imagjne tryna cross a bridge irl then suddenly a piece of road just smacks ur car and u flip but miraculously just end up on the other side
Now i know who d-bike is
