I read the comment and didnt think about it and then 15 seconds after he yells it I realized what was up....stupid 9 year old video if amazing dummers ruining my 5 year winning streak
This took almost no money. It took an abundance of talent, creativity, and dedication to rehearsal time and each other. A lot of people (myself included) have paid a lot of money to see many shows that were not nearly as enjoyable or gratifying as these 3 minutes. Brilliant. Commendable.
These guys must have known each other since they were just little kids. something like this takes A LOT of time and they truly mastered this. Great job. 👏
Is that about the kilts? Sorry...My American eyes only focused on the killer talent of these drummers...who happened to wear kilts. Might have been a bit?
Watching this for the Nth number of times, 11 years later, and it’s still just as amazing to watch as the first time I saw it. Thanks guys, for spreading so much joy with this! Hope you’re all doing well and still having fun.🙂
Perfect example of TALENT, DETERMINATION AND PRACTICE! You worked well together and we can see the JOY in your faces. Congratulations to each of you! I have watched this many times and NEVER get tired of it. Such talent! This video will be a keepsake for your drumline group and families. GOD BLESS YOU ALL! Peace, Lynne 🍃💜🍃
They hold their sticks correctly, they know how to use them, they choreographed a fantastic performance, what is left to say but - "Darned good, fellas!"
I don't think you're giving them enough credit. I've seen teens with plenty enough talent to choreograph something like this. These guys are top notch musicians and have clearly put in thousands of hours of practice to get to the level that they are at- an indicator of their expertise. Given the freshness and humor, I'd be surprised if it was *not* their own routine (borrowing from stuff they've learned, of course, but arranged by them).
Chef Jeff Tendick there is technically no incorrect way yo hold a stick, but there are two preferred ways, traditional, which is what they use and match which is just so bad looking in my opinion.
When your in drum line, your working hours with people to be better and your spending hours through labor and effort with them. Drumline people are always best friends.
I don’t know why, but I am glad this video was recommended to me in September 2020. These boys did an awesome performance. Hope, they‘re all doing well and still have so much passion and fun playing the drums. Greetings and best wishes from Germany
and then..... he made us lose the game...... the casting of that in such an event is pure genius....... nobody needs to know.... but now they're all fucked ... xD *get that man a beer.
I wouldn't dare to insult them by calling them "talented". Those young men are skilled and had the discipline to practice their asses off during a time in life when so many other distractions are present. On the other hand, I can finish almost every song on Rock Band with the drums on Medium!
Drums played on Easy is actually more difficult than Medium or Hard - on Rock Band due to the fragmented rhythm cues. It's like singing every 4th word in lyrics.
Matthew Pollock In 2011 I’m sure they were hooked on their iPhones like kids are today. I doubt you would see this repeated by any highschoolers during the snowflake generation.
@@panda52785 The way I see it, talent is something you're born with, like a sense of rhythm and such. Only by working hard can one turn their talent into a skill. As for the original comment, those other distractions include hormones and girls, and the drums actually help there...
Being an old drummer, I love seeing young drummers kicking ass and having fun! I know this video is a few years old, but the sentiment is always the same!
I remember watching this video years ago when I was in my 20s. I'm 33 now and here I am re watching it again. Just watched that movie Drumline from 2002 and was thinking that's impossible.. And then, flashback!..I remembered this video! You guys not only have talent, but it is noticeable the passion, effort, and lots of work behind that routine..and still, with all that hard work you enjoyed it and shared that spirit.. I hope you all are doing well in these weird times with this pandemic and that you guys are also preparing yourselves for your future..Never lose that passion in the things that you love doing and matters to you guys... 💙 👏🤞🙏
I can see the drumline from my high school marching band back in the day putting together something like this. Some things just seem to be universal, and crazy awesome high school drummers seems to be one of them.
the sad reality is that this rare combination of amazingly hard working, gifted, talented, extremely highly skilled humorous and entertaining troupes like this are not apreciated financially to keep the line together. Like all sucessful teams, life gets in the way and each member will be pulled in different directions be it love, employment, study, mortgages, extracurricular dreams or desires. just imagine how super incredibly awesome they could be if able to keep the group together . words don't do justice to such high calibre entertainment !!! I was in band at LHHS as well. I was the band President 42 years ago when we first started marching a DCI style show. One of my best friends still couches the drum line there. Great school for the arts.

As a band kid, this just SCREAMS yes to me 😁 i loved every second. Well done, they deserved the win of the talent show.
BAND KIDS UNITE
I hope y'all realize just how impressive this is, the timing and accuracy that these guys have is on par with leading drum corps.
Disturbed Programmer it’s really good for a hs but it’s not quite on par with leading drum corps😂

They need better drums for full effect, and better quality recording, and yes some polishing up!
But it is a good show!
I think we do.
It's just the power of the boys

Proud to say that I’m part of the lhhs drumline. We still have the same old drums😂

And i excepted it too
My daughter Rick rolled me last week for April fools day so I sent this to her!
That dude in the kilt has some skills
Do not give a hoot that all these guys aren't Scottish, absolutely furious they are not all named Scott.
@Al Tee - they don't look like proper kilts to me. They are also too long.
I have some Scottish genes but my legs did look fantastic in that kilt
The fact you said "Hoot" tells me your Scottish, so please call me lad and make me a happy boy today :)
