URBANDUB: A New Tattoo (live acoustic at the Music Museum 2010)

A New Tattoo is one of the singles off Urbandub's second album, Influence (2003).
This was the first time that this song was accompanied by a string ensemble (The Manila String Machine) and keyboards (courtesy of Inky de Dios of Brigada and Out of Body Special).
The new arrangement encompasses the see-saw of hope and despair all the more. Bravo.
Though we all know by now that Gabby Alipe is one of the best rock vocalists on this side of the planet... this proves once and for all that he is. Bereft of the refuge of 'electric', you can feel the message of A New Tattoo... the messenger sang it loud and clear.
How love can render us incapacitated to speak... how love can endure despite the looming threat of breaking. The pain... and the art that remains -- A New Tattoo.
Looking ooking forward to another decade, Urbandub. Keep it up!
