Production is the way to go. Anambra government should take keen in interest in what is happening here. Leather products are duty free if they meet US standard under African Growth And Opportunity Act (AGOA) that was signed into law by Bill Clinton in 2000. Anambra government should help these products to meet international standard. Let me use this opportunity to advice Soludo the need for yearly trade fair where our products will be showcased. Thank you for using your platform to advertise our products.

This is where the government should contract with these companies to produce shoes and wears for the military and the police and save foreign exchange and even help and provide conditions to prepare these companies for good quality control for exports. This longs like Chinese mom and pop shoe manufacturing in the early 80s.

Very soon we will start to give them business to other African countries we are studying the situation let us make sure that igbo companies are back home then we will start massive export to other countries because we are still the same people saleing all over the place but if they don't go home now we will continue to go to China let us see how Lagos will be boasting with our tax

Imagine state govt coming to this market section, buy shoe making machine for each shop there, then tax them minimally.

    Thank you for this update.
Pls do you know whether the automated shared facility is currently working and if the shoe makers are using it to make their shoes currently? As in, is it living to the desired output?
Secondly, I appeal you fly your drone anytime you are back to this venue to capture the ongoing(or abandoned) dress making cluster?
These phrases “The first Governor in Anambra to” or “The first Governor in Nigeria to” often used by those close to the Governor is seemingly causing the government not to go back and improve the inherited ongoing projects.

It's better for a company to establish a shoe factory with 500 workers, instead of 500 people manually making shoes in 10ft by 10ft lockup shops. This style is what you have in Igboland, which is not good.

A bigger company is needed with mass production and employees but this individual production is also not bad that's where competition comes in and a variety of choices comes in. Here in China they've company production and individual production. All boost the economy none is bad
