It is meant to hold your phone while recording and also has a nice little light to really set the mood.
Since opening, I've used it several times... The first one was for my "Failures" confession video.
It works really slick. Clamps on to most tables, desks, or whatever you got.
PLUS... It has a dual USB outlet so you can charge your phone while recording and running the light."
