Gervonta really showed that he studied Ryan’s best punch: that left hook, always slips in fast on his Knock-outs but Tank made the cleanest counter and dropped him.
I've recently become a fan of boxing, all thanks to Tank ❤. I've fallen in love with his incredible skill of dominating in the ring while maintaining humility.

Yeah Ryan should've stayed patient and established the jab, straight rights, throwing the hook to the body for awhile so that Tank has to bring his hands down. But he's too damn dependent and confident in that left hook. On that knockdown, the 2nd to last view I believe, look how wide and far back Ryan threw that shh. Any skilled boxer would see that coming. No matter how fast it is, it's still telegraphed like a mf. And Tank was depending on it. You could tell that's what the majority of his training was focused on.. Ryans speed and reach could've made it a decent fight. But he shows you what he's gonna do. And his defense is just bad. He should've stuck with Canelo

The difference between the 2 in this fight particularly was mentality...Ryan had a slight edge of nervous energy..which was why he got carried away throwing punches upon punches.
Tank came across as the more calmer minded fighter in his demeanour...and it showed...he withstood the onslaught, kept absorbing and striked Ryan out of nowhere...that changed the fight..Ryan never was the same after the first knock down
I actually liked Ryan more after the fight than before. He was all class the whole build up. I mean the fact he stepped in there with prime Tank is respect. Ryan showed he’s got more class than everyone that was with him too. I hope Ryan gets a new team and moves forward successfully…

The way Ryan was before the fight shows he wasnt ready. The pacing back and forth, the self-talk trying to psych himself out of what he's feeling. He's never been in that position of pressure. He wasn't ready.
He wasn't ready indeed. But what's admirable is despite the immense mental pressure - He stood tall and clear, unwilling to back away from the storm that was approaching him. He still had a chance to go back to the locker room and called it quits, but he still pressed on and faced his fate nevertheless.
I've bad-mouthed him a lot of times prior to this fight, But now I give my respects and apologies to him.

If Oscar had stayed on the outside mabey he could have defeated the defensive master. No , I know some don't want to admit it but it Mayweather. HBO was awesome when Mayweather was there , when he switched to Showtime, then it became the best for boxing . Mayweather stuff with 50 Cent , his dad , uncle , all the cars etc plus the boxing , that stuff was great material for fight build up . Now these new guys can just follow that blueprint .
