If I'm not mistaken, this guy is originally a guitar player and switch permanently to drums because they couldnt find a decent drummer. That would explain why he might not be the greatest. (Source : an interview from them I watched a year ago iirc)

I don't know what the rest of these comments are talking about but in all honesty, this playing is extremely sloppy. His timing is so inconsistent. If I were on guitar or bass this would irritate me and throw me off. As a drummer, before worrying about how you look playing drums, you should be locked into the pocket. Holding down that backbeat so solid and locked in. I didn't feel that at all watching this.

He’s actually a guitarist first, drummer second. And still holds his own on drums. He has cleaned up the drumming quite a bit in the last few years.
His kick patterns seemed off or a little too quick. Other than that, he's good.
