Hi, my car needs an engine replacement. 2011 335ix E90 AWD n55 ,,, I have a complete car engine with a gearbox, a 2011 F10 535i, an N55 engine. I noticed that the engine is almost the same, but the gearbox is a little different. What do I do to make this engine work on my car? Do I just need to install it and I do not need to do anything, or do I have to modify it? Some things to work with, thank you
The main thing is going to be the engine. Make sure the hpfp system is the same. Secondly you’ll transfer the AWD oil pan from your bad engine to your good engine. And swap your existing transmission to the good engine. That way there won’t be any coding involved
I will change it with the entire engine and gearbox. Do you have any idea what differences I will face? I don't want to change the engine computer and gearbox. I want to use the old computer. Do you think I can actually do this?

I sold my 335i n54 LCI for $6.5k because I was in too deep lol like $8k and didn’t want to continue to go down the rabbit hole but a build like this is exactly what I need 🫨 Can’t wait for the final result
