  • Xinjiang China. We had heard about the Uyghur Autonomous Region of Xinjiang in the news and most of what gets reported is usually negative.
We decided to travel to Urumqi in Xinjiang China to see the daily life of the local people especially the Uyghur Muslims with our own eyes. Being foreigners, we were not sure if we would be allowed to enter Xinjiang or not.
Join us as we take you around the largest province in China. Welcome to Urumqi in Xinjiang.

You have obviously identified the street signs and shop signs almost always contain Uyghur language scripts. I believe this is the greatest argument against Western medias slandering Chinese government conducting ethnic clenching against the Uyghurs. Would Hitler allow Hebrew writing on the Berlin street and shop signs during the Holocaust?

In 2009, terrorism supported by the United States entered Xinjiang from overseas and attacked civilians in Urumqi, setting fires, smashing, and indiscriminately attacking civilians on the streets. At that time, my classmate's girlfriend was hiding in a clothing store, and I was studying in Beijing at that time. Fortunately, his girlfriend was fine. Now Xinjiang is the safest place in the world, and the West is very angry that their conspiracy did not succeed, so they smear China and smear Xinjiang. Another reason is that the quality of Xinjiang cotton is the best in the world, which is despised by the West and affects the interests of Jewish tycoons. Therefore, the United States uses lies to strangle the economy of Xinjiang people

      28 FEBRUARY 2022
500 million dollars. That's the sum of money the US congress planned to allocate to churn out negative news coverage on China. First reported by American Prospect on Feb. 9, the bill was stuffed into the China-centered America COMPETES Act that just got passed by the US House of Representatives earlier this month. A majority of the half-billion-dollar fund will go to the US Agency for Global Media (USAGM), a state-run media service that oversees Voice of America (VOA), Radio Free Europe (RFE), and Radio Free Asia (RFA), which have a record of "blurring the line between objective news coverage and pro-American propaganda," the article wrote.

I lived in the UK most of my life until 6 years ago when we moved to Hong Kong. I remember the first time I went to mainland China I was so scared because living in the UK you are painted this picture that in China the police follow you around, everyone is depressed, there is no free speech, heavy censorship etc. But when I got there, there was zero restrictions or censorship on my roaming mobile, everyone was lively and just normal, the police were helping old ladies and people with directions... It was normal. But what really changef my perception was what happened in Hong Kong and how the Western media, governments and even online mods on Wikipedia, twisted facts and reality... And also the sheer effect of misinformation. What was being reported was very different to what was reality and it made me so angry that innocent elderly people, women and even children were being racially targeted and assaulted, whilst Congress cheered on and the UK government welcomed the same ringleaders that literally called people to violently attack any Mandarin speaking person on the street, attack businesses, friends, family and neighbours that do not express support their cause. They even murdered an old man, and attempted to murder three other people, put a dozen people in comas. They were plain thugs.

It's amusing how the west can't even keep their lies consistent. First, they said there were 2 million slaughtered. Then they changed their script saying people weren't killed but were forced into cotton picking. Now their narrative took a wild turn again, claiming that the local languages and religions are being destroyed. Next they are probably gonna make up a story about the LGBTQ+ community being forcefully deported to grow potatoes on mars.

the thing is that xinjiang region of china has been a crossroad of multiple ethnicities and nomadic people in the past 2500 yrs. the earlist settlers of xinjiang were possibly proto east-persians. then chinese came in 200BC. then turkic tribes came. then chinese came again in 600AD. then uighurs came in 800AD. then mongols came in 1300AD. historically the region was ruled mostly by chinese, mongols, and various turkic tribes.

Genocide in Xinjiang is a simple lie. In 1949, the Uyghur population was only 3 million, with an average life expectancy of only 30 years, and almost no college students. But now, the Uyghur population in Xinjiang is 13 million, with an average life expectancy of 79 years. A considerable number of young Uyghurs have received higher education. China's most popular female star, Dilireba, is also a Uyghur. Are these changes caused by genocide policies? On the contrary, the Chinese government has done a lot of support for Xinjiang.

The last terrorist attack in Xinjiang was 2015 and there hasnt been any since 2016. Better to be safe than sorry, hence the armoured car. Xinjiang has been part of China from as far back as Han Dynasty (about 2,000 yrs ago). Islam only came into China somewhere in 625 AD. Thus, China is the earliest nation to have Muslims outside the middle east. Fyi, Xinjiang is not the first province to have Muslims, its Guangzhou. The Western propaganda is full of crap. Food for thought, the US has been invited numerous times to send officials to Xinjiang but no one bothered, why??? Because they know that they have been spreading lies about Xinjiang. The security is for the safety of the people.
Btw, there are over 39,000 mosques in China and 24,100 in Xinjiang.
The Uighurs in America today are relatives and descendants of Uighur Terrorists and they couldn't return to China. There are still about 10,000 Uighur terrorists fighting in Syria together with ISIS, funded by the US govt.

83 minutes of pure goodness! and I know this will get you a silver button!😄
obviously haven't watched it all yet but I thought I'll give you a little back history. all the security is really legacy from extremists activity over a decade ago. there really hasn't been any incidents in the past ten years so it's as safe as anywhere else. before then, there were pretty horrible terrorist incidents throughout china, many caught on video but I'll spare you the details. what you see is how china dealt with it, with butter, not guns. build up infrastructure, provide services, jobs, etc in hopes a higher quality of life solves social issues. a lot of what china did was just twisted by the west. an example is providing education such as teaching mandarin so the locals could integrate more with the rest of china and thus have better business opportunities. this portrayed as 'cultural genocide' by western media. there are even worse examples of how things were twisted in such a way it's outright lies but enough of this. there is no perfect solution but it's better than dropping bombs. anyways enjoy your stay! xinjiang is actually a big tourist destination for local chinese.

Xinjiang lies at the doorstep into Central Asia and is a crucial part of the Belt and Road Initiative. The BRI is a giant project by China aimed at developing trades routes and infrastructure all around the world so China can trade more easier with the world. It is one of the sources of China's soft power and where they reinvest a lot of the USD they accumulated through exports, instead of buying US bonds. A lot of trade into Central Asia and into Russia and even Europe pass through Xinjiang. America has adopted a policy of trying to contain China and foil China's efforts in BRI which directly threatens American hegemony and western supremacy. If America can create chaos in Xinjiang, destabilize the region, it will severely curtail the BRI.
That's why there are so much lies and negative news about Xinjiang in the west. This is all part of geopolitics and no one is playing it more dirty than the US.

Literally no sign of genocide but as a Muslim who's been to China, I know that in Xinjiang religion is monitored but I can tell you it's waaaaay less monitored compared to the heavy monitoring in the USA and even Canada. A lot of terrorism took place in Xinjiang by US funded separatists and these same radicalized paid Uyghurs were sent to Syria to fight for ISIS to overthrow the Syrian govt and then returned to create more chaos. That's why you see the heavy police presence, it's sooooo much safer there now than it ever has been. I feel safer in China, than I do in vancouver downtown, you will never catch me walking downtown Vancouver. IF anyone is curious to see if a genocide is taking place in Xingjiang, simply read the bombshell report done by Grayzone and Adrian Senz (the paid for Islamophobic war monger who supports Israel) who made the report in the first place, based on the testimony of 8 separatists who were found to have ties to CIA funded groups. Let that marinate for anyone who's wondering where the genocide might be.
