      The screwdriver reviewed in this video "CANNOT" be used to tighten screws of laptops.
      The lowest torque setting is too high.
      For laptops you need to look for something else.
      This bosch gsr 120 is one of the best machines for general use. It can handle most of the jobs except which require impact force.
      I mentioned laptop just to give you an idea

    I have a doubt, I own a stanley drill, you said drills lack torque, but my drill just twists like a snake in my hand, it does have speed setting. 2nd - I enquired about corded impact drivers like makita td0101 , its torque is quoted @100 Newtons, to drive a screw how much force is required? . The video is lengthy but informative.keep it up.

    • @smartdiyer
      @smartdiyer  Před 3 lety

      1. Universal Motor drills have good amount of initial torque but they produce their max torque at max RPMs. Since their max speed is above 2K RPM, which is not smooth for small screws to drive hardwood.
      Chances of slip increases most of the times.
      Cordless drills are very much underpowerd compared to corded drills. But most of them in 1st gear rotate at lower speeds which technically increases the torque.
      This helps user to drive screws smoothly without slipping the bit head.
      2. Impact drivers are widely used for portable automotive applications such as to remove lug nuts.
      So, bolts above M10 need torque about 100Nm which is what the most entry level impact drivers provide.
      Depending on the Grade of Bolt, torque varies. For automotive applications, manual has the specific torque mentioned. Slightly more will shatter the bolt.
      For screwdriving impact drivers are boon, they can drive screws more than 8mm dead easy

      I think double battery simply means two separate batteries.. if one goes down. Replace with spare one.. I was under the impression it was a single unit with double batteries

    • @smartdiyer

      Yes. 2 separate batteries, 1.5A each. Better for those using this drill continuously. One can be kept on charging while other at work

    • @samjose11
      @samjose11 Před 3 lety

      never use a dedicated chorded drill machine to drive in screws, u ll damage the screw heads, coz the drill will keep spinning at high speed even after the screw has been fully driven into the material being used for, it wont stop like a screwdriver or cordless combi drivers, unless you are able to let go off the trigger on time...

    • @smartdiyer
      @smartdiyer  Před 3 lety +1

      I have mentioned that point previously in my other videos 2 years ago.
      I am not denying what you mentioned.
      Fact: 90% of Indian Carpenters use corded drill to drive screws. Its all about experience. And they do it without any damage to the screw head. And they don't even own Cordless tools.
      If others deny what I said, let me promise you, I will delete all my videos and will quit youtube.
