There is wattage loss because the bank uses 5 cells in series so it needs to boost voltage to charge. That's how you lose the wattage between the 100 w shown on cable and 88w on the bank

A port was active because you had the green dot on which is for trickle charging a low watage device on the type A, it forces the battery to stay on even if the type A only pulls like .5w or something tiny that would normally look like it was unplugged, I think double tapping the side button turned that on

    • @wwjoshdew
      @wwjoshdew  Před rokem +2

yup yup. The green dot meant it was in trickle charge mode... if I had pressed the button just once, it would of gotten out of trickle charge mode. The green dot would of disappeared and it would stop saying the A port is active.

The A port was active because if you double tap the side button it activates trickle charge mode and for some reason that displays as the A port is active.

tested it from 0 to 100% full with an AC 220V powermeter (ZHURUI PR-10C) in the socket and an USB meter on the wire.
    first full charge.
AC wattmeter clocked in with (PR 10C) 0.09998 KWh and USB meter on the cable 90773mWh (4479mah obv. taken with a voltage at PD20v)
it does consume more then its rated cap that is around 87000mWh.
The 60cm cable incl. is a 250watt rated cable (50v 5A) if you read its production emark-chip.. the stamped 140w mark is just anker trying to suit it with the product..
you can also sense that its filled with inner strains as its annoying as f and far from flexible, itt can almost stand horisontal in the air..
Its one very nice powerbank with PD 3.1 support but most importantly its is packing 21700 cells. and not the 18650 like we useally see with fx Stom2 etc..

Hell yeah I do! My old job required me to have sprint service but I had a family plan with T-Mobile, which had much better service. So when they made me pick a phone, I didn’t see the point of having two androids in my pocket. So I started giving iPhone people my sprint number and android people my T-Mobile number. Then I got laid off at sprint at the end of 2020 and at that point, so many friends and family had my iMessage number, that I ported my sprint number to Verizon and I use my CZcams checks to pay for that service. Plus it’s opened the door to reviewing things I never would of been able to. I still love and prefer android, but I don’t regret getting an iPhone. Thanks for the awesome question and comment Danny!!

Your scale are defect if your only getting 622g.
Im getting 628g that quite a lot for a powerbank with 24k mAh. (official weight is 630g)
my USAMS CD165 which are a 65W 30.000mAh in alumetal construction with a small display weighs 631g, so just 3g more, while having 6000mAh more cap.
but the Anker 737 likely holds a lot of heatsinking to maintain that wattage in both direction, but then again not even sure that the USAMS CD165 is LIion chem like the Anker is, and which holds high current 21700 cells, look like some rebadged Samsung T40.. the USAMS CD 165 could be LIPO.
the anker got a big advantage over the Storm2. and that is the battery.
Storm2 holds 18650, while the Anker carry 21700, and most vendors are moving away from 18650 for high current products.. also the norm on powertool battery packs.
One things that is wicked with the Storm is the adj. DC output.
a feature I use all the time on my 3 other 90watt powerbanks, where you use your own 18650 cells.. (tend to use LG HG2) its adj. 3.3v to 24.6v with max 5A on the DC output but its an old powerbank from like 5 to 7 years back
