I hope we keep Sam Bennett! He's a solid player in the regular season and twice as good in playoffs. That's super valuable to a team, not only keep him on the Flames, keep him happy. He loves it here.

I don't think he wants out for any personal reasons, he just wants a better opportunity. Especially in a contract year. Unfortunately as a centreman he's basically a 4th liner only, which is why he asked Ward to go back to the wing and at least play on the 3rd line with Backlund. Definitely an enigma of a player based on his regular seasons vs his playoff performances.
