I loved the first 1.30 seconds. The music was bold, theatrical and dramatic and the choreography suited the music and I sensed an occasion and something different from them. But then it broke into the good old standard e spania cane which we've all seen a million times and it all got rather same old, same old. A show routine to that first bit of music would have been superb. Ole!
As usual you have to disparage Riccardo & Yulia’s superb dancing in some way, it reeks of petty jealousy. There was nothing ‘same old’ about this paso doble at all, also their routines have always been elite, world class & they never repeat a performance, it’s always fresh & inspiring with incredible artistry, musicality, precision & technique!
Bellabana I disparaged nothing. I gave praise where I thought it was due and criticism where I thought it was due. Its only my fair minded, constructive and unbiased opinion, which comes from decades of dance knowledge. You don't have to agree with it. But tell me, other than the costume and the tempo of the music ( which is rather fast for a normal Paso) what is so different choreographically or artistically in this show performance that you wouldn't see in any competition from most other dancers in their class. This may come as a shock to you but not everyone has them on such a high pedestal of perfection and god like worship. So please get of your high and mighty horse and stop behaving like an attack dog at the gate every time someone has an opinion that doesn't perfectly mirror your own. If I have to be reminded that they are 9 times world champs in one more of your posts I'm going to throw up. They will probably win a tenth this year too, but that wont change my opinion of some of their show dances. Particularly their rumbas. The only reason I continue to watch them is in hope that they with come up with a show routine that blows me away. They haven't done that yet for me, but that's not to say what they do isn't very, very good.
