i really really liked them too, they were the best in the whole series i loved how their love story got developed and especially Matthew his character changed a lot compared to his first appearances and he did a great job

It was definitely founded in friendship but the chemistry is remarkably different from what I’ve seen and awhile and it’s time toxic .
It looks like friendship, when you feel confortable around each other and can even know the other's opinion about a topic, previously discussed!
I'm terribly curious about why Matthew had to rush off at the end. It looked a bit like he "needed the loo", as a Brit would put it!
Stumbled on this series very recently, because youtube put episode 1 in my recommendations. I was lucky it was on a Friday evening, because I ended up binge-watching ravenously all through the weekend 😂 Left episode 1 excited that Alex Kingston was in it (LOVE HER ❤) and ended season 3 with a serious addiction to Matthew Goode's voice 😂 I sure hope there will be more seasons, and that he narrates all of the books at some point 😂 I craaaaave it

Shadow of Night was my favourite book. The way Deborah Harkness weaves history and narrative is stunning.

This is by far my most favorite show! Both author and producer need high praise for such a authentic and spectacular looking show with great acting all combined to grip me emotionally like never before!
It's so strange that after I saw the 2 first season I deside to read the book and when I read the lines I actually have the voice of Mathew and Teresa ( or better Matthew and Diana) and all the actors/ heroes in my ears! I do so much crave for season 3! For me is the best book adaptation on tv or movie I have ever seen and in some cases even better. With the exception of The Lord of the rings. Keep up guys! I would love to see Marcus story too ...season 4 maybe? It was too an amazing book and grow to very much like Marcus as well!
I am in awe at how vibrant the story is and the obvious attention to detail, the casting and costumes are superb. Thank you for expanding to 10 episodes!
I don't know what was the best part, the character's interaction or Teresa saying they're gonna stop the interview to film season three!
I would love to see... and/or read a 'lot' more about Mathew and Diana in more seasons, and more books for the series.
I'm not sure if you're familiar with the "Pern" series of books by Anne McCaffrey, but I could easily see your series growing the way hers did. You have such a 'rich' cast of characters and diverse range of back stories to pursue.
One angle that I would 'love' to see expanded on is that, essentially, by the end of the third book/season, Mathew and Diana have become "creature royalty". They have become the most powerful creatures in the world.
There is also something that I felt wasn't addressed, and that is, "What was the "price" the Goddess demanded of Diana?" I could see that going in all sorts of directions.
Then, you have their two children, showing signs of being born with vampire "and" witch traits.
Bottom line, I believe you have a GREAT series going here, and I HOPE with all my heart, that you'll continue to expand the series in 'any' way you can.
@Walt - The sacrifice demanded by the Goddess was that Diana allow herself to be used by the Goddess in any way and at whatever time she chose.
FINALLY!!! I remember seeing the first episode at NYCC and loving the series!!! The cliffhanger had me excited for season 2 which has taken forever 😩
Deborah, Thank you for this wonderful journey you put us on. ❤️ I had to read the books twice just to make sure I was reading everything since I sped through them the first time so quickly. Seeing these stories come to life by this wonderful team is absolutely unbelievable.
Absolutely love how Edward Bluemel cannot keep still in the chair. Loved hearing all of the stories and really appreciate the background info with the production team!

The historical background of the novel and the characters are so well written as well as the writing of the screen play. Not only does it allow the viewer to visit places of ole but also the entire era from so long ago. The beauty of the costumes were breathtaking as well. I was thrown into a different world; it kept me on the seat of my chair, there was never a dull moment in this series. I have but one word to all of you BRAVO!

I adore G. P. Haendel's Sarabande in the trailer: this modern arrangement is very dramatic!
I also enjoyed the details Deborah and Lachlan's POV about season's 2 set and historical details. I have very high expectations about season 2, and about a History teacher supervising the whole process of recreating a past era.
Diana's dress in the end of the trailer is a work of art!
I adore the actor's relationship and little drops of details about the upcoming episodes.

I'm just so glad I _discovered_ this show... I've watched Matthew's performance here and there. but it wasn't until I stumbled upon Leap Year on Netflix last year, that I realised he's not just beautiful but great actor... ironically that movie got terrible reviews... but one recommended Matthew's interview on CZcams introduced me to this show... it's a game changer in the genre, brilliant, beautifully done, well written, rich in characters... and the cast are amazing! can't wait for Season 3 ♥️

times and I also have the audio books so I think I'm enjoying the journey. After all the wizarding school, Hobbits and
GOT we needed some more block busters to help us to get over Corvid and to stretch our imaginations.
loved this, seeing the longer clip, hearing from Deborah and Lachlan and especially the cast. Its nice seeing the friendship and hearing the banter between them all. And Outlander got a mention, my other favourite series.

To be honest this series is new to me, I'm one of those rare people that still doesn't have Sky TV. Randomly bought it on dvd last week and already on to series 2, can't stop watching!
Given that I've literally just watched season 1, I have to say I'm really looking forward to seeing season 2. SoN was my favourite of the 3 books

This is a fantastic book series and season 1 was pretty much how I imagined it, that I believe is because Deborah Harkness has been involved in the series!! Can't wait for season 2 :-)

Deb Harkness has a monthly newsletter you can subscribe to. I know she’s writing 7 books in total. 3 more to go after Times Convert, the 5th book is about Matthew and Diana and the twins plus more. 6th book is based of The Serpents Mirror, based off Matthew’s time working for Queen Elizabeth I. The 7th book is based on Gallowglass. I’m not sure if she is writing any more after that. Her newsletters have said that much. Hope that helps! 😊

My question to Deborah would be: How did you feel about making the lines only white? I loved that they were different colored in the books with different meaning and powers. I was so looking forward to see that and now I'm a tiny bit dissapointed that they'll be the same white/transparent colored
Maybe they are coloured in season 2, i wouldn't trust the trailer and the one scene we see there. They only reveal tiny bits and love tricking the viewer into thinking it's going to be one way when it's actually completely different. It could be they will be coloured an they just didn't want to reveal that in the trailer.
