I have been to this store a few times when traveling to southern California. It is truely an amazing place.
My all time favorite shop in SoCal. Every display is gorgeous, corals are so healthy. Love the unique collection of fish too. Ali is the man!

Such a bright place and so breathable. I like so much the white stands ,so much better than black and the wide open shallow tanks. Beautiful corals ,it is so simple but always simple is the best form of complexity. All tanks have a good consistency of corals ,just right not overwhelmingly busy, Ali he is so special,he’s got the touch.
Great work Jake, you have the most entertaining and superior channel regarding marine reef aquariums. I never get bored of watching your videos.

What a cool guy and his tanks are stunningly beautiful,great advice keep it simple and don't pack your tank with corals love the green branch corals in the big tank,he's Old school fish keeper...
I'm going soon..just an hour drive :)...but you truly do have to appreciate this kind of dedication. This is what it's all about and I'm just glad the hobby is staying strong. I hope to learn alot and make my living room the same:).

nice tanks man. Me and my buddies love to break laws. Many tangs in one tank. Too many corals who fight. This way we LEARN. One day this will grant us the ultimate REEF. Through test and study. Love it man. Love your 10 years. Best of luck!

Looking forward to being a customer again when I get back into this hobby soon. Loved the melanopus (cinnamon) clown pair. Ali special ordered me a pair way back probably around 2012. Unfortunately they got a fungus that took them out. Great video and amazing reefs!

I've been out of the hobby for decades now. One thing I'm noticing that I didn't see in that day is the open topped aquariums. I was used to an enclosing plate with a fluorescent tube on top.
My favorite aquarium is still that 2 gallon on the desk with the rock flower anemones and the domino damsel.

Looks like a great place to visit. I really like his approach to keeping only a handful of species in a tank but letting them develop into impressive colonies. Plus it's nice to see tanks that are lit with a bit more natural color of light. I do wonder if a place like that can actually generate any significant income for him. You guys kind of hint at that he's not in it for the money. I'm guessing this fish store is actually just his fish room with a bit of sales to help support it. Nothing wrong with that, but it would explain why most LFS's can't do it the same way.
I worked up the street from this store off Batavia, worked early hours. Store was never open by the time I was off at 2 PM. I’m sure he saw me on security camera peering through the window a few times. All makes sense now. These are his display tanks.
